Hi, I'm Skyler. I am now fourteen years old and am currently clinging onto Daddy's leg for dear life on the rooftop of Stark Industries, again.
"No, Skyler let go!" Some things never change. When will Dad learn that when I want to cling to his leg, you might as well call me a tick? "Skyler this is important Avenger business you can't come."
"But Daddy I want to see Aunt Black Widow again, she's super fun." I am not lying, the Black Widow may have been my coach, but still she is awesome. She is like a big sister to me, even though she's way older. She is super fun and is one of my only girl friends.
"Sorry Sky, but you won't be alone. You always have the other Avenger's Sidekick to keep you company." Iron Man isn't the only one with a sidekick, which is in this case, me. Yes, I have gotten in fights with Daddy against the usual Avenger enemies, but it is only because I don't want to stay behind.
We are only two Avenger Sidekicks, since most are not married or anything. The other one is only 4 months older and Wolverine's helper. He is also a mutant and before being born, he was already showing signs of being a mutant. He can shift into other living beings, but unlike Mystique, he can only turn into mythological beings or partially cover them, like the dude who turns into dinos. He gets their powers too. He just has to learn a little about them, to visualize the change and he turns. He can be a werewolf, a vampire, a dragon, a sphinx, kraken, etc.
"Fine, but can we please go to the water park?" I am happy now, Draven is coming. He's my BFF and is super fun. He's kind of stubborn and likes to tease a lot but he's cool.
"Sure thing kiddo. Just take Janice and the suit with you. And don't do anything inappropriate with Draven."
"Dad, he's just my best friend he's not my boyfriend. Wait Dad, can I take my new suit?" I let go of his arms and stood up, realizing my mistake. He took off before I could even ask him where it was. My old suit was excessively tight, and I also sort of over used it a little. Ok maybe a lot. "DADDY!"
"Bye."
"She clings to his leg stubbornly, he gets her away through a long talk, took off again, she gets angry, I come in to repeat this same damn thing." He was leaning against the elevator doorframe with his hands over his chest wearing his classic trademark grin, black jeans and a grey t-shirt that said "I'm Way Out of Your Lead". Draven.
"Yeah well it will keep being the same thing until he stops leaving me behind!" I pointed at the sky where I'm sure the clouds are parted in a straight line.
"You are fourteen for the love of your second name give it up!"
"Nope, I won't. I'm barely fourteen and acting like I'm younger usually gives me everything I want."
"You are really stubborn and a brat you know."
"You can be a brat too, and you are stubborn too," I said in a whine.
"Yes, and I'm also hot so stop gawking at me." We like to flirt just for fun since we're both proud. This is why daddy thinks we are dating.
"I'm not looking at you, you were the one looking at me while I talked to daddy!"
"Don't you mean holding to his leg for dear cookies?."
"Well, yeah." I blushed and looked away. "But at least we're going to the water park."
"Aww, there's the redface only I turn on." his grin became even bigger as he grabbed my cheeks with his hand. It was true, I never blush unless I'm with him alone. No one besides Draven has ever seen me blush, not even a little.
"Shut up."
"Nope, never have, never will. Come over Anty." I hate this nickname of his. He loves to make a new nickname for me every time we meet. I am an ant compared to him, but he's already at his max height and I'm still growing.
