The morning wasn't as good as the night at the French court.Alicia was awakened by the news of Colin attacking Mary in her bed. The guards weren't there,something that surprised Alicia.Lola told Mary someone forced Colin to try and steal her virtue to sabotage her chances at marriage to anyone. Yes,anyone.Alicia was shocked to learn Francis had doubts about their marriage.
Lola tried to hide her pain with anger directed at Mary after they learned that Colin was beheaded by the king for his action.Alicia thought the decision was kind of rushed,that maybe they should have questioned him.
Alicia felt terrible for Mary and Lola.Mary was almost raped and Lola probably felt betrayed and ashamed.Her own lover,trying to steal her friend's virginity?It was awful.Plus she was mourning him now. Alicia couldn't and doesn't want to imagine the pain she is going through.
Alicia was with Kenna,Greer and Aylee.A servant told them that Mary requested them to her chambers.Just the night Alicia tried a shorter night gown. She felt her legs freezing even with a red slim robe as she was escorted to Mary's chambers but relaxed a bit when she saw Kenna in a similar one with no robe.
"Lady Alicia,lady Kenna,Lady Aylee and Greer of Kinross,your Grace."the lady announced as they entered the bedroom. "Thank you,Sarah."Mary thanked the servant as she exited. Alicia noticed Lola asleep in Mary's bed and then saw a little sofa with blankets and pillows. "You didn't sleep in your own bed,didn't you?"Alicia asked. "We were talking about what happened to Colin.She fell asleep crying.I feel for her.And for Colin."Mary said with a visible frown on her face. "Mary,you can't blame yourself for what happened to Colin.It wasn't your fault."Alicia said,patting her friend's shoulder. "I know but I can't help it.Plus I need to know who forced him or else I am still haunted by someone."

"The French king and queen said Colin's attack on me was an English plot.But Colin told Lola it was someone here,highly placed at French Court"Mary explained to her ladies as they walked to the tables with food to get some breakfast.
"All I know is it had to be someone opposed to Scotland's alliance with France.My engagement to Francis,"Mary continued looking out the window."England wants my country and my crown.I need the alliance with France to protect Scotland from the English and I need time before there's any chance of Francis marrying me.I won't have time if I don't figure out who's against me."
Just as Alicia was stuffing in her mouth a piece of pie due to the stress of her queen being threatened,she saw Bash passing another corridor.He saw her and smiled while waving as a greeting.Alicia quickly covered her mouth and waved ,not noticing that her robe loose revealing everything until the beginning of her tights. Bash chuckled at her and the two looked at each other until he left the corridor,walking to his destination. Alicia did seem to notice at first how at one point his eyes went lower for a few seconds but the thought made her blush for a few minutes. "Alicia,come on."Greer woke the girl up from her day dreaming as she nodded and they kept walking.
