The first thing on my mind as my mom drops me off at school today is to find Thomas. I want, no need to know what he means by I don't want to end up being Clay.
Unfortunately, I don't find him anywhere after scanning the halls and just decide to find somewhere to pretend to read chemistry before the bell goes off to signal the start of the exam.
After exams, I finally find Thomas.
"Hey." I say scanning him up and down. God he's hot. Even in the ridiculous uniform. I notice him picking at his knuckles and hide them behind his back when he notices I'm looking.
"Hands out." I say in a scolding tone while narrowing my eyes at him.
He smiles innocently, which by the way makes him look cute that I wanna kiss him, but then I remember I'm in scolding mode, and spreads his hands out. I take them in mine and a gasp escapes my lips when I see the bruise on them and skin peeling.
"I've read in books that skin peel when you get into a fight. So, who did you fight and why?" I say slowly and tauntingly like I'm talking to a child I'm about to spank.
"Uhmmm... uh... I..." He stutters and smiles innocently once again giving me the puppy dog eyes when he obviously can't come up with anything.
"Oh no, you don't. I'm not falling for those puppy dog eyes. So you better tell me the truth or a very convincing lie."
"Fine. I'll tell you the truth. I punched a wall. Multiple times."
"What? Why?" I ask worried thinking how painful it must be to punch a wall multiple times.
"I'm sorry. I was just so mad." He says gritting his teeth and balling his hands into tight fists.
"Dude, you don't have to be so mad. I won't let Peter get near me again." I say and find myself running my hand up and down his arm to calm him down. But I'm mostly just enjoying the feel of his muscles. He's well built for someone his age, but, I don't even know his age.
"He wouldn't even dare." He scoffs. He sounds so sure like he's done something about it. I think he has for a minute and just brush it off.
'What can he do, right?'

Exams are finally over. After exams, there is basically nothing to do. The school asks us to come vet our scripts but it's just people with phones coming to school to show it off as it is now allowed during this period. Girls mostly just roam the whole school gossiping and giggling and stuff while boys just keep being boys and just play games on their different computer devices. Teachers are usually busy grading exam papers. It's all play and no vet. With nothing to do, I just stay at home during this time. If I had friends, I'll probably be gossiping and giggling too but hey I'm fucking lonely so what's the point of going. Which is why I'm sitting on my bed at eleven in the morning and going through my laptop looking for what to watch.
While I'm getting ready to binge watch marvel's runaways, which I got from my brother last time he was home, for the rest of the third week in December and start with whatever movies my brother has on his laptop (as we are going to pick him on Saturday as today is Thursday. ) through the fourth week and wait for Christmas to come and go and return to normal boring school life, my phone lights up and I see it's a text from an unknown number.
Unknown number: Hey. Are you coming to school?
Me: Who the fuck is this??
