Confrontation

Nobody's POV

Gray was walking home with big smile on his face. Just thinking about asking out Natsu made his heart race and filled him with glee.
Speaking of the fire dragon slayer, Gray had spotted him walking home.

'I should talk to him' Gray thought speeding up his pace to catch up with Natsu.

"Hey Natsu, we haven't had good conversation in a while. How are you?" Gray asked. Natsu didn't respond just kept looking forward.

"Natsu?"

"...."

"Helloo? Flame brain?" Gray said waving his hand in front of Natsu's face.

"...."

"Oh come on you can't just pretend I'm not here." Gray sighed.

"Oh yes I can." Natsu responded.

"Oh wow you talked, didn't know you could do that." Gray said sarcastically.

"...."

"Oh for goodness sake." Gray said grabbing Natsu's wrist and turning him around to face him. Now Natsu wasn't looking at him.

"Can you at least tell me why you are ignoring me." Gray said.

"...."

Gray's face contorted into a concerned expression, "hey are you mad at me."

Still silence. Gray never looses his grip and never took his eyes Natsu, until Natsu's eyes started to water. Gray noticed immediately and cupped Natsu's cheek.

"Hey what's wrong."  Gray asked.

Tears fell down Natsu's face and he jerked away from the ice wizard's embrace. "Don't touch me."

"Natsu, can we please talk about this. I don't know what I did, but I'm willing to fix it." Gray offered.

"O-ok." Natsu said his voice caught in his throat. "First of all, w-what were you doing this past week. You never talked me! And you always had some kind of excuse to get away from me."

"I- I was planning something." Gray said.

"Planning what!" Natsu yelled.

Gray would never admit, but in all honesty Natsu was pretty scary and intimidating right now. "I can't tell you right now, but I promise I will."

"Planning something with Lucy?!" Natsu said is eyebrows pinched in anger.

"Umm.....yes, wait how did you know that?" Gray asked.

"God I hoped this wouldn't be true!" Natsu growled grabbing his hair.

"I don't underst-"

"SHUT THE HELL UP!" Natsu yelled. That definitely silenced the ice mage. He never wanted to be faced with an angry Nastu Dragneel  ever again.

"Y-you..." tears started to stream down Natsu's face again. "Were you planning on ending things between us?!"

"What the hell! Of course not. Why would I ever do that?" Gray said frantically waving his hands in front of him.

"So you could be with Lucy"

"What in the world...." gray eyes widened, "Natsu why would you even think think that."

Natsu was now full on sobbing. "Because the both of you have been avoiding me to go off somewhere this whole week and Rin told me he saw you two together at the park and-"

Gray hugged Natsu tight. "I'm sorry I shouldn't have avoided you the way that I did, but I never cheated on you with Lucy."

"But Rin said you were asking Lucy out when you were at the park." Natsu said.

"I knew that red headed jerk was up to no good." Gray said, "look at me" Gray said pulling back from the hug and looking Natsu straight in eyes. "Natsu Dragneel I love you so much. I would never cheat on you. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, but please don't believe what Rin has to say. He just want you for himself."

Natsu's tears had stopped and his eyes widened at the sudden love declaration.

"I wasn't asking Lucy out at the park. I was asking her for a way that I could actually ask you out...." gray explained. "This isn't exactly how I wanted it to go, but I feel the need to right now."

Gray reached into his back pocket, (wow he still has his pants on. That's a surprise) he pulled out a black box. When he opened it there we two bracelets. One that was black with an orange undertone that said Natsu. And one that was white with a blue undertone that said Gray.

"Natsu would you please do me the honor of being your boyfriend."

Natsu gasped hands coming up to his mouth. "Gray... of course." Tears of joy where now sliding down his cheek one by one.

Gray smiled and picked up the blue bracelet and slid it onto Natsu's wrist. He then slipped the orange one on his.

Natsu examined the piece of jewelry. Loving how the blue shimmered under the white.

"It's beautiful Gray." Natsu said in awe.

"I'm glad you like it." Gray said.

"I don't just like it, I love it! And I love you." Natsu said jumping on the ice mage and bringing him into a meaningful kiss.

"Gray I should have never believed Rin over you. I'm sorry." Natsu apologized.

"It's ok i'm just glad your not angry anymore because that was scary." Gray chuckled then he kissed Natsu again.

Lucy and Erza then strolled passed them on her walk with plue. They smiled at the two males and continued on their path.

"Now what do you say we teach Rin a lesson?" Gray said smirking.

"Agreed" Natsu smiled.
