everything about humans is terrifying but the human mind is the most terrifying.

anyone who encountered the little boy would only glare and grumble under their breath about him. disrespectful boy they called him. the boy heard them all, but their words floated over his head. he learned he shouldn't respect anyone ever since he escape the place he was raised. never would he call it home because it never felt safe. he learned so much in the few years he lived. he shouldn't respect anyone if they don't respected him. and there was a little thing he also learned when he got back to the hell hole he lived. something that undertaker and y/n told him, he gave no thought to it but now he's realized it.

graham panted heavily as he ran down the cleared snow path. his hot breath visible in the cold weather, with each breath the cold stabbed his warm lungs. he wanted to cry, but for what reason? he didn't know why he wanted to cry so badly, even if he wanted to, the tears refused. the cold was slowly climbing up his limbs, feeling numb. because the fact he poorly dressed himself before running out, he was going to pay for that. it didn't really matter to him because he wanted to go to the place he called home.

finally running for what seemed hours, he saw the familiar parlor down the street. a smile grew on his face as he charged faster not caring he would slip. as he charged down the road a man passed by, a tall man in black. they both made eye contact, the man stopped and turned but graham didn't stop. reaching the door, he twisted the knob before slamming it shut behind him.

he pressed his back on the door as he slid down. he gasped the warm air slowly feeling himself heat up. finally resting he felt the pain on his already forming bruises on his cold pale skin. he looked at his arms seeing spots of blue and purple, he knew what his face looked since it was the most painful. their hands slamming him against the wall then floor, hands and feet making contact with his fragile body.

"graham!" he looked up at the two adults. y/n rushed to him with wide eyes, her hands reaching out for him. graham pushed himself to y/n, his arms wrapping around her warm body. there was the feeling again, the unrecognizable warm and safe feeling in his chest. finally finding the answer to that questionable feeling, he pushed himself more to y/n.

y/n was more of a mom then his parents ever were.

"what happened?" y/n pushed graham away to his face. her hands cupping his face as she studied his small face. finally graham's eyes watered as he felt safe and happy with y/n."come on" she panicked pulling graham to his feet.graham didn't want to talk, fearing his voice would make him more vulnerable.

"you were right but annoyingly your evidence is the damage on his skin"

the door opened again, everyone looking at the door. y/n instinctively pulled the boy to her, fearing it was his parents wanting him back."butler?" undertaker spoke, tilting his head. y/n face flushed remembering the moment they shared minutes ago.

"flustered, are we now?"

"Sebastian?what are you doing here?" y/n questioned, relaxing a bit.

"i happened to pass by lukuis outside seconds ago" Sebastian spoke, pointing at the boy."i wanted to see how he was because of his injuries"

"he likes the boy a lot. he probably wanted to see you both more"

"his name is actually graham" y/n smiled. she lightly tugged on graham " come on, let's fix you up" she spoke softly as he nodded. graham was in tears, running down his face as he bit on his lip. his hands clenching on the shirt ends "are you okay? she whispered

graham lifted his head and nodded. a smile grew on his face "i'm really happy" his voice cracked.

"he really must not have happy in a long time"
