"so you just...lost her?" undertaker spoke. slowly his eyes sweeping the room, or what was left of the room.

"as you can see, she isn't around" the butler spoke with an annoyed glare. his clothes patched with holes and rips. "i...underestimated her strength when she woke up" he spoke, his eyes moving around the room. "i..." he starts "she's not...human, isn't she?"

he turned to face undertaker, who didn't meet his gaze. undertaker was observing the room, he could quite literally feel y/n's distress and pain within those few minutes. he wondered how she it hurt to remember the pain she forgotten. how it felt to see the truth to have your reality ruined.

in the mirror there laid the most pain. the glass broken and cracked, surely it was when y/n saw herself after remembering. when she saw herself, her unbelievable memories freaked her out. she didn't want to believe, surely this was her way of saying 'this isn't right'

"undertaker" adrian lifted his head, turning to the butler. he forgotten he still was there. "am i correct? y/n isn't human."

undertaker turned and faced him "what makes you say that?"

sebastian turned away, eyeing the room. he saw her eyes turn pink. her body was merged with mist, didn't help that he found a strange feather left behind. when he recovered he saw it on the ground, a single gray feather. something he never seen before.

and undertaker...

-

grell stood back on his feet before flipping his hair back, attempting a sedctive gaze. "anyway how is the very handsome jack-?" i saw how y/n's body sudden tensed up. her face and hands scrunching up before her kagune flew towards him "hey!i was just asking!" he whines as he leaps around to avoid getting hit

"shut up" y/n quietly mumbled, refusing to meet anyone's eyes. who is jack?

-

"weren't you the lady who kept squishing my face?" y/n shouted, ma'am red's attention. her confused expression suddenly turned sinister, y/n turns to see Grell charging towards her."why-" before y/n saw him, on instinct, she threw the child high in the air. her kagune reaching him, wrapping around him like a cacoon.

her jacket slowly settled to the ground, y/n had her full focus on Grell but already he had slid her chainsaw in her stomach. blood driped from her mouth. "you really lost your touch, never look away from a battle" grell grinned

-

i watched her make coffee, her face frozen into an emotionless expression. it was almost like any other demon when they didn't have to have a act. her eyes seem so dull and tired, repeatedly she would wipe her sweaty palms on her pants to dry them. her lips pursed together as she held the cup of coffee in her hands. softly blowing the steaming drink. she seem bothered, somethings in her mind. it's closing her in, holding her hostage. she's not alright.

what is the thing holding her down?

i watched y/n's face turned bitterly, her pupils shrinking to the size of a pebble. more sweat dripping from her body, her breathing getting uneasy. it seemed she was sick, but it's nearly inpossible for a ghoul. "damn it" her fingertips turned white from the pressure she used to hold the cup."oh why, why why why" she repeated "d-damn you" her voice cracked, i only stared at her, my eyes moved when when something underneath her shirt caught my attention.

a demon mark.

-

"I'm not lonely" i caught her staring off in a distance. she emotionless she spoke those three words. she walked slowly around without focus, i stepped in and her body colided with mine.

"my kitten please watch where you are going, you'll get injured" i spoke, her head snapped to me, with such a deadly glare. she looked pained by my words.

"don't be giving me pet names, demon" she spited.

"oh pity, 'kitten' does fit you. your big eyes with such color and elegance inside.your sympathetic face-"

"i said no pet names, demon!" she yells

"what is distressing you, my dear? now i recall correctly, you whispered something about being lonely-" by my words, she shook her head refusing to listen.

"shut it would you? i never accepted to be your lover. so yield already" she yelled, clearly ready to fight me.

"miss-? what is the matter?"the little child suddenly appeared, easing y/n.

-

"I'll request to take luke to the funeral parlor then return to do my duties.i guess this would be a good time to drop him off so he can be safe" y/n spoke softly, petting luke's hair until he calmed down. she held him so kindly and with love. by her motherly touch, he fell asleep in her arms.

"safe?" i saw her tense up." you make it seem like something bad is coming" i leaned forward, narrowing my eyes with suspicion. she  refused to look at me, i lean closer to her, wanting answers. again there was the demon mark.

"y-yeah. so he won't um get hurt wondering around!" she answered, she seemed so uncertain. she didn't believe her own lie.

"oh, then i guess it would be a better idea.the child likes wandering around, it would probably lead to more injuries"

-

"y/n calm down!" i finally grabbed her hands, still i bled from his stomach, more blood pooling around me. my breathing becoming hazy, my clothes stained with blood. my eyes never left her. i saw how dishoved she looked. everything was the opposite how she looked daily.

her hair full of tangles, herr eyes bloodshot with blood and tears running down her face. dried blood smeared all over herself and clothes. the shine in her eyes was gone, she stared at my chest with the most dead eyes. never have i seen y/n like this, not even before she died. she stared at me an as if i were a stranger. "y/n?" she looked confused.

-

"yes...couldn't there be a faster way of transporting the letter or possibly transporting y/n to me?" undertaker's cold voice caught him off guard. this tone, i'v never heard it before from the man who takes laughter as payment for his work." anyway where is she?" undertaker asks. to me it seemed like he was expecting this to happen.

"in the dungeon" i state. i felt his anger pointing at me. he almost seemed like he wanted to attack me.

"I see...take me to her and i shall take care of her from there" i nod.

"of course"

-

"butler, did you have something to do with this?" undertaker asks, his eyes on y/n between the cage bar . i didn't respond, i couldn't lie so it was better to say nothing. but it seemed my silence angered him more. "you can leave, I'll take it from here" undertaker says, taking torch the from me. having you around it would trigger her again, so please do make yourself useful and leave". i stood there before turning to leave, as he wondered of what the future would be. but...

"how do you plan on fixing this?" i couldn't help asking, pausing and turned towards undertaker.

he was quiet for a minute. "that's my business, butler." undertaker scoffs, returning a bitter smile.

-

in what undertaker acted, how he expected y/n to snap. how this jack have been mention repeatedly. or how y/n ate more often then a normal ghoul? how she looked so ill or was a complete insomiac in the time she slept that the manor. how over protective of her.

"i think you know why" sebastian answered back. it only made sense that undertaker understood the situation, y/n's situation.
