JJ doesn't remember anything anymore. I don't even know what time to meet with the others at the lobby! He left my room and I'm left alone. Downstairs the smell of baking cake drifts through my door. I smile. Mom is always saying she is really bad at baking but she has the potential to open a bakery! I put away my book on the bed and sit down. I look around my room and my eyes fall on a black book. I smile. If I can enter anything written in ink, then I know where I'm going next.

I pull down my copy of the Hunger Games. This is going to be awesome, then I get an idea. The only limit to the stone is my imagination. I clutch my stone.

"I wish I was In the 23rd Hunger Games and that when I was there I was named Pacifica Zar!" I whisper. With a flash I'm standing at a reaping ceremony. I'm in District 7. I don't know how I know this. I also suddenly know how to use an axe. This will come in handy. A video plays. Then a man with silver hair steps forward and in a silly accent he speaks.

"Welcome to the 23rd Hunger Games, and may the odds be ever in your favor!" He sings. Hatred flows through me. I don't know where that came from... I see a little boy in the back with white hair. My brother.

"We'll get our young men over with first." He smiles. I hold my necklace and wish for my brother to be fine.

"And our contestant today, your lucky victor, is Ronald Wood!" He announces in his bubbly voice. A boy next to my brother is pushed forwards. Soon the crowd parts for him. He has sandy hair, and looks no older than 10, but I know him to be twelve. He is my neighbor. The crowd boos and shouts. I guess when it's still fairly new, people would still fight back. A peace keeper fires into the air and we all fall silent.

"Ladys next!" the man laughs, as if something is funny. I feel nervous, although I already know I'll be called.

"And your female tribute for this years Hunger Games is.... Pacifica Zar!" He smiles. I walk forwards and climb on stage. My brother is crying. I'm 13, one year older then the little boy who was chosen. Nobody seems happy although many kids look relieved. I don't see my dad, and I know my mom is dead. Not my real parents, just the ones here in this book. Before long I'm in a private room and My brother is blubbering to me and my dad is staring out the window. I let them until I know we have only a minute left.

"Jax, listen to me!" I grab his shoulders and he stops crying.

"Don't give up. I promise I'll come back, or I'll die trying, but you can't give up. If I die, DO NOT WATCH! I'll be back, I bet my life on it, but you can't give up!" I say to him. The peacekeeper comes in.

"I love you guys!" I cry and them I'm alone. I'm visited by some friends, then loaded on a train.

I have no mentor and I'm alone all day. I fall asleep in silk pajamas and I wake up with an Avox trying wake me up by rapping on the door. I know the Capitol wants me to be pretty, and I wish that I had the most beautiful dress on, with the worlds most stylish hair style I can manage with my hair. I alter the color of my long flowy dress to match my necklace and I walk out of the door. I have my hair braided and then wrapped around my head with some loose strands falling over the sides It also stands up for some reason, but it is the capitol. My dress is a beautiful teal and my flats are silver and sparkly. The Avox drops open her mouth. She has white hair, like my brother. Her eyes are a bluish grey and her skin is nearly as white as her hair.

She leads me to the dining hall and I stuff my face with everything I can manage.I eat until I can feel my dress become actually a bit tighter. I stuff myself with a large slice of peanut butter cake and then declare myself full. I then force a burp, and say that I'm feeling sick. They had me lay down until we arrived. Fine by me.

At the capitol I waved at everyone as the train passed by. I know to do that. I step off the train and almost directly into the towering training building. I smile and wave.
