WHEN LAKE IMAGINED HERSELF on the ground, it usually included running around through the woods and discovering the unknown. She would do anything but what she was assigned to do. Following Wells around the landing site and making sure he wouldn't get into a fight with John Murphy, what a dream coming true. When the trio, her, Wells and Jarod, were finally ready to rest a bit, they sat on the drop ship door.

Lake exhailed deeply. "How's your leg, Wells?"

His eyes went from her face to his leg, squirting them as if he was remembering the terrible accident. "It's better now, thanks." The girl smiled at him. Wells seemed to be an amazing person and people completely threw that thought to aside just because he's Chancellor's son. It was unfair.

"Why is Clarke so harsh with you?" Jarod asked. For the time they'd heard her talk to him, she was utterly rude and she seemed unbothered by it. The thought burned inside Jarod, making him exceptionally intrigued.

Wells' face stoned. The topic certainly wasn't his favourite but there was more behind that mask, something hidden from everybody, even himself. "She's mad cause I turned her dad in. And she has every right to be." Lake could tell he didn't feel very comfortable, so she reached his shoulder and placed her hand on it. She was trying to send him some kind of comfort, she wanted him to know she'll always be there when he needed her.

"We should probably try to find a lake for water as you said, Wells," Jarod silently replied, smiling at his best friend when he'd mentioned lake.

"Yeah," Lake supported his idea, removing her hand from Wells' shoulder. "We can split up so we cover more ground," that's when she found herself speaking with authority, something she never had guts for. She was never a leader, nor she loved being in the center of the attention, but sometimes leadership just spoke from her itself. Both boys nodded. "Will you be able to walk? I can come with you if you need help or-"

"No need," Wells cut her off from continuing, she surely would ranted for a long more. "We meet back here when the sun hits that peak," he showed to a top of a mountain, but the sun wasn't quite near it. It meant they had a few hours, probably two.

They all went their ways, Lake was going east according to Wells' compass. She finally had a chance for a real Earth adventure. When she was ready to leave the site of landing and get into the forest, she felt herself being pulled back by her arm. She turned around to see Bellamy staring down at her. "Where do you think you're going?"

She should say the truth, right? There was no need for lying her way out of the situation if she had a goal. "I'm gonna look for a lake and try to find drinkable water for you and your sophisticated fellas," she added an innocent smile at the end, blinking a couple of times in a row. "like you should be doing. But no hard feelings, right, buddy?"
