Reunion

Ichigo's POV:

I fell through the void that was within the Garganta, his thoughts floating around with nothing distracting him. He began to think of the visions he first had when he picked up Tensa Zangetsu for the first time. I remembered the two young girls I saw in the vision. I also remembered the man I saw. They'd felt familiar.

I looked up from my path and saw the white light signifying the exit to the Garganta. I covered my eyes as I exited the void pathway. Slowly, I opened my eyes. I expected to see the deserts of Hueco Mundo. Instead, I saw a town. A human town. I looked out with a stupified expression. How did I end up here?!? I thought to myself. 'It was the Garganta king. The thing responds to its maker's thoughts. Clearly, you were thinking of something that corresponds to this place.'

I looked out over the town before me. Does this place have something to do with them? I wondered. 'With who, king?' I then thought of something, would you guys happen to have memories of when I was human? I asked the two sword spirits within my mind curiously. 'Unfortunately Ichigo, we only know as much as you do for the time being. While we possess our knowledge, none of it pertains to your previous life.' The elder Zangetsu answered. I sighed in frustration. 

'Cheer up king. Why don't we go looking around the town? surely there's something that will spark a memory.' the white me suggested this with enthusiasm. Shrugging, I decided that nothing bad could happen. I began to descend into the town, encouraged by my white self to search for something that would spark my memories.

Soul Society, Gotei 13 meeting

No one's POV:

The 13 court guard captains and vice-captains sat in the large hall, assembled for the meeting that had been called by the captain-commander, Yamamoto Genryusai. The captain commander was in his white Haori, the number Ichi (one) in a rhombus on his back. Each of the individual captains, excusing Kenpachi Zaraki due to his injuries, also wore their white Haori, with their respective division numbers on their backs in the rhombus.

"Captain Commander, why did you call this meeting? Is it about the recent rise in Hollow activity?" Asked a man named Shunsui Kyoraku, who wore a pink floral kimono over his Haori. Yamamoto replied with, "It is. As I am sure you all know, Hollow activity has recently risen to a worrying level. I am also sure you know of the recent attack on the Soul Society, conducted by several Adjuchas and Menos Grande class Hollows."

The captains assembled all nodded their heads. Yamamoto continued, "But, what I feel you don't know is that at the recent raid, there were also two Vasto Lorde class Hollows present." This caused the hall to erupt into chaos. Captains began yelling, asking questions and saying that they should be taking a preemptive strike or fortifying themselves if Vasto Lorde class Hollows had appeared. Yamamoto slammed his old wooden cane on the ground, forcing silence to descend. 

Yamamoto continued yet again, saying, "The two Hollows escaped. The first left almost immediately after coming into contact with the soul reapers present. The second Vasto Lorde seemed to be searching for something when they were intercepted by Captains Toshiro Hitsugaya and Kenpachi Zaraki. The later engaged the Hollow alone. The Hollow, according to Captain Toshiro, showed no interest in fighting back and merely defend itself until Zaraki forced a reaction.  They fought to a point where the Hollow used... a Zanpakuto release." 

The hall, surprisingly, stayed deathly silent. They were horrified, a hollow with a Zanpakuto? One that it could release like a Shinigami? The questions raised were numerous. "Did it have a Bankai?" asked a white-haired man named Juushiro Ukitake. "It is unknown the extent of its abilities. It retreated shortly after my arrival, realising it could not defeat me. As it left, it told me itself it had had no desire for conflict, and only acted against Captain Kenpachi."
