It takes me awhile to process the voice

I try to open my mouth and say it wasn't her fault, but I cant.
I can't open my eyes either

"Mrs Thompson, it wasn't your fault. Something caused so much trauma to the eyes that she is in shock. A coma, in other words." I hear a grown woman say.

"Can she hear us?" Laura says, sobbing
"Yes"
"How long will she be "blind" and non verbal?"
"3 weeks"
The room is silent.
I feel someone come sit next to me.
"I'm so sorry this had to happen to you" She says, whispering
"I'll visit you every day I promise"
"Mom already knows, and she can't make it because she is in Japan for business" she says
"But your not just a dreamer, Liv" she says whispering
Then the door shuts
I'm alone I sense
"Your not just a dreamer, Liv"
