She flopped down on her bed, sighing. Is this really happening?  Am I about to live in the same house as my idol and crush? She honestly didn't know is she was dreaming or not.

After unpacking all of her belongings, Marinette checked the time. 9:30.

Ugh. She still had half an hour 'till her meeting with Mr Agreste, and having recently designed some Chat Noir inspired clothing, she decided to use her time wisely and get some work done.

Grabbing her sketchbook out of one of the many drawers in her desk, she pulled out the spinny chair (idk what it's called), set up her sewing machine, grabbed some fabric from another drawer, and got to work.

Marinette was in full concentration mode, and didn't notice when Adrien walked in. He was standing in the doorway, leaning casually against the wall and admiring her from afar. God she's so cute. He thought to himself. Only he didn't.

Marinette quickly looked up from her work to see a smiling, blushing Adrien by her door. "Ummm, thanks?" She felt her cheeks heat up at his adorable expression.

"Crap. I said that out loud didn't I?" His face turning red from embarrassment. "Well, I, uh, I-I just came to tell y-you that Fa-father is ready when you are." Then he quickly ran down the hall to his bedroom. Why am I stuttering? And blushing? But she was so adorable... Adrien snap out of it. You love Ladybug. Adrien pushed his confused feelings aside, and focused on how to get more camembert for Plagg as he had eaten every last wheel.

Marinette walked up to Gabriel Agreste's office and knocked on the door. "Come in," Mr Agreste responded in quite the professional manner.

"Miss Dupain-Cheng, I've heard you're quite the talented designer. My son says you're the best in the whole school. Is that so?"

Adrien's talked about me? She blushed at the mention of this. "Well, I-I don't know sir. You see, it would be wrong to call myself the best, I just really enjoy what I do sir."

Mr Agreste only nodded as a reply. "Do you have your sketchbook on you?"

"Oh, of course sir." Marinette handed him her sketchbook nervously. Slowly, he flipped through all of her designs, studying them closely with a blank look on his face. This only added to Marinettes nerves.

"What has inspired these designs?"

"Well, some recent ones are inspired by Paris' superheroes, Ladybug and Chat Noir. And others have been from my friends and family, when I see things happen in the street, sometimes they're objects while other times they are people. And whenever I have an idea, I always write it in a small notebook I carry everywhere or take a photo, and if I have time, I sit somewhere nearby and start designing."

"Quite interesting. I expect some great things coming from a young mind like yours Marinette. Well, that will be all for today. You can do what you like for the rest of today as it is only the first, just so you can settle in a bit. If you want to go anywhere, notify my assistant Natalie. I would like to see some of your already made clothes so if you could send some down soon that would be great. Natalie will bring then back up to you once I'm done with them." Once he finished speaking, his assistant, who had been by the door whole time, opened it for Marinette. Neither adult saying anything.

This is was a longer chapter than the others because I couldn't be bothered writing the meeting as a separate chapter. These first few chapters have just kinda been an introduction, but I promise to actually go somewhere with the story soon (I don't know when coz I'm kinda just making this up on the spot).

Hope you enjoyed this my lil beansprouts!♡

(honestly idk why I call you beansprouts, kinda weird, but just go with it)
