Chapter 11: Back home

Yoshiki

When I come back into consciousness, I'm surrounded by soft warmth. I sleepily open my eyes. The brightness of the white room partially blinds me for a moment, but as I adjust, I realize I'm back in the hospital room.

" Yes! I made it!" I cheerfully exclaim.

I search around the room for any signs of other people, and see Ayumi and Miki slumped against the wall, as if sleeping.

I attempt to get off the bed, but was painfully stopped by the bones still broken in my body. Oops. I totally forgot I had been hit by a freaking truck.

" Hey. Pssst. Ayuuuumi. Miiiiki. Wake up." I say. No movement what so ever. I growl softly, before loudly shouting in their direction.

" HEEEEYYYY! WAAAKE UP!"

Miki's eyes flash open, and Ayumi wakes with a start. They freak out at me for scaring them for a moment, before realizing where they were.

" Yes! We're back home! We made it!" Miki exclaimed. Ayumi sighed with relief, and we all rejoiced over escaping alive.

In our joy, we did not notice the sobbing coming from down the hall. We looked at the window, and watched as a tearful Hinoe came into view, being comforted by my worried-looking mother.

" Shhh... It's okay, Hinoe. I'm sure Ayumi will turn up soon." She cooed, patting her back. Hinoe let out a sob.

" I-it's b-been two d-days! S-she's n-never been g-gone this l-long!" She cries. Ayumi hurriedly exits the room, and darts to her distraught sister. Hinoe freaked out at her for being gone, before Ayumi quietly told her where she had been. Hinoe's expression changed, and he gave Ayumi a big hug. Then Hinoe and Ayumi returned to my room.

" So, you really went back?" Hinoe asked.

" Yup." I replied. Hinoe nodded.

Meanwhile, my mother and Miki were exchanging tearful hugs. Miki sobbed into my mother's chest. That poor girl. She shouldn't have had to see what she did there.

My mother gazed happily at me through the glass of the window. Her eyes were red.

She quickly entered my room, and embraced.

" Yoshiki. I was so worried about you!" She said. I lean into her hug. I didn't notice it, but I really missed her in Heavenly Host. It's not childish.

" Onee-chaaan! Where are you?"

A child's voice rang out from outside. Footsteps could be heard, before a small girl hopped into the room. I couldn't believe my eyes.

It was Yuki.

Yuki grinned ecstatically at Ayumi, before leaping into her arms.

" Onee-chan! You're back!" She cried happily. Ayumi gasped in surprise.

" Y-Yuki? W-What are you doing here?" She asked.

Hinoe frowned. " Well that wasn't very nice. Your little sister was very worried about you." She told Ayumi.

Ayumi smiled shakily, before looking at me for some explanation. I shrugged my shoulders. I didn't understand it either. How could Yuki be Ayumi's little sister? She's dead!

Hinoe and my mother left to go tell the doctor I had woken up, leaving me, Yuki, Ayumi and Miki alone. Ayumi turned to Yuki.

" Okay, what is happening. How did you become my little sister?" She asked her. Yuki smiled.

" After I was appeased, I got transported to the normal world. Apparently, I became your little sister because of that paper doll scrap I gave Yoshiki." She replied.

" Well, why didn't you become Yoshiki's little sister? Didn't you give him the scrap?" Ayumi asked again.

" Yoshiki already had a little sister. You didn't, so I guess I became yours. You... Don't mind, right? I'd hate to intrude in your family." Yuki bit her lip.

Ayumi smiled kindly at the little girl.

" Of course I don't mind. After all, it won't be so bad having a little sister. I think it'll be fun!"

Yuki squealed in happiness, and hugged Ayumi again. This time, Ayumi hugged her back.

Hinoe appeared in the doorway.

" Come on, Ayumi. We gotta go home. Say goodbye to Yoshiki, we'll see him tomorrow!" She said. Ayumi nodded her head, then pecked me on the cheek to say good bye.

" Bye Yoshiki. I love you!" Ayumi said, then her and Yuki left me alone.

I sighed happily once I was totally alone. I made it back alive, and nobody died. But most of all...

I know Ayumi loves me.

Lol, I kinda based the Yuki little sister thing off of one of the Ib endings, where Mary becomes Ib's sister.

Lol. I'm so excited! My b-day is tomorrow, and my party is literally in less than an hour. HOLY CRAP I CAN'T WAIT.

*waits impatiently.*
