Tommy opened the front door of our house and held it open for me as I carried our little bundle of joy across the threshold of our home.

'Hiya baby boy,' I said to the baby staring up at me from the blankets he was wrapped up in, 'this is your new home, it'll just be me, you and daddy,' I said, laughing as his little face smiled at me.

'Come here love,' Tommy said, reaching out to take our baby from my arms and cradled him in his arms, 'let's go and show you your nursery eh Eliot,' he said as he made his way up the stairs, towards the room we had decorated ready for Eliot's arrival and I followed behind them.

I watched as Tommy quietly spoke to our now sleepy son laying in his arms. His eyes softened as he traced our sons face with his forefinger and I could see how he marvelled at how the two of us had created such a precious little boy.

'Love?' Tommy's voice pulled me from my thoughts.

'Yes,' I said gently, smiling at my two boys.

'Little one here's fallen asleep, what do you say we go and put him down and then try to get some sleep ourselves, eh?'

I tiredly nodded and Tommy wrapped his arm around my waist and kissed my forehead, Eliot still in his other arm as we walked to mine and Tommy's bedroom. Once we had put Eliot in the moses basket next to our bed, we allowed ourselves to finally lay down.

'It's nice watching you with the baby,' I said as I cuddled into his chest.

'What can I say, I'm going soft love,' Tommy said, chuckling.

'Well I quite like this new side to you,' I said, rubbing my eyes.

'I quite like it too,' he said as we both fell asleep.
