Mum, Dad, I'd Like You To Meet (Cillian Murphy)

The car pulled up to a stop outside my parent's house and I felt my heart start to beat even faster than before.

'Hey, babe, you okay?' My boyfriend, Cillian said, reaching out to take my hand in his.

'Yeah, just nervous, I mean, I'm sure my parents will love you but I thought that about the last guy I brought home and we know how that ended and - '

I was cut off by Cillian's lips crashing onto mine. His tongue swiped along my bottom lip which caused me to open my mouth, giving him the opportunity for him to slip his tongue in my mouth. When we broke the kiss, Cillian leant his forehead against mine and stared into my eyes as he spoke.

'I'm the one who should be nervous love.'

'Why the hell should you be nervous? Mum and Dad are going to love you!'

'Because,' he said, taking my hand in his, our foreheads still pressed tightly together, 'the man you're about to introduce to your parents is double your age.'

'That won't matter to them okay? As long as they see how happy I am, how happy you make me, they'll be fine,' I replied, placing my free hand on his cheek after using it to sweep through his fringe, still freshly cut in his Tommy Shelby haircut, 'besides, Dad loves watching Peaky Blinders.'

Cillian grinned at the comment and leaned in to quickly press a kiss to my lips, 'are you sure he won't be disappointed with my actual accent then?' He said in a teasing tone.

I laughed, 'well Tommy's voice is incredibly sexy,' I said seductively.

'Oh yeah, well maybe Thomas Shelby can pay us a visit in the bedroom later tonight.'

'Well maybe he can,' I said, brushing my nose against his, 'I love you so much.'

The smile that Cillian gave me was so full of love, it made my heart flutter in my chest, 'I love you too but we should probably get out of this car and go meet your parents before I change my mind and drive us back home.'

We got out of the car and walked up the short drive that led to my parents' front door and knocked. When my parents had greeted us and we were inside, I finally introduced my parents to the man I love.

'Mum, Dad, I'd like you to meet Cillian.'

Safe to say that they absolutely loved him!
