Unexpected (Cillian Murphy)

I stared down at the pregnancy test in my hand. It read positive. I was pregnant with Cillian Murphy's baby. I instantly felt myself begin to panic. Me and Cillian had spoken about having kids and we agreed not to have any because Cillian felt that he was too old for more children.

'(Y/N), where are you?' Cillian called as he stepped through the front door.

When I didn't reply, I heard him walking through the house until he found me curled up on the floor of the bathroom.

'Hey, (Y/N), hey, are you okay?' He said, his voice filled with panic and urgency.

'I'm sorry,' I said so quietly that Cillian had to strain to hear me.

'What are you sorry for? Come on baby, let's sit you up okay?' He said as he gently lifted me until I was sitting in his lap and he wiped the tears from my eyes, 'now, do you feel like telling me what happened?'

'I'm pregnant,' I whispered and I felt Cillian's arms tighten around me slightly as he breathed in.

'What?'

'I'm pregnant Cillian and I know that you said that you didn't want to have any kids but I want to keep this baby.' As I was speaking I felt myself begin to tear up and before I knew it, I was sobbing into his chest.

'Hey, hey, baby, it's okay, I wouldn't make you get rid of the baby, why would you think I would?'

'Because you didn't want to have a baby because you think you're too old which you're not and the age gap between us,' I managed to get out through broken sobs.

Cillian placed both of his hands on my cheeks and used his thumbs to wipe my tears away before pressing a gentle kiss on my lip.

'I know that I said I didn't want any more kids in the past but lately I've been thinking about it and that it wouldn't actually be such a bad thing if we had a baby together. I love you okay and I can't wait to have this baby with you and we will love the baby as much as we love each other,' he said, placing a hand on my stomach.

I looked up at him to only see love and excitement in his eyes.

'A baby, Cillian,' I said, placing my hand on his cheek and the other hand over his on my stomach.

'A baby,' he replied gently.

'It's just so unexpected,' I whispered.

'It doesn't matter that the baby's unexpected because sometimes the best things are unexpected, take you and me for example,' he said, kissing my head.
