I was jumping over fallen trees and rocks swerving between branches and bushes. I thought that maybe I should take a quieter approach, but with all the fallen leaves there was no way I could be quiet. I probably ran about a mile or so before a moving figure caught my eye. I chased after it, but it was fast and knew its way around the forest. I was gaining up on him and realized it was a stout man who was carrying a large bundle over his shoulder.

"Stop!" I shouted after him. He hardly gave me a glance, but that was all it took before he toppled over a rock and crashed to the floor. He was struggling to get up and grab his package, but I was on top of him before he could. He was much larger than me so it was a struggle. I tried pinning him down, but he got an arm free and punched me right in the face. I rolled off of him holding my nose in pain, broken. He kicked me in the stomach knocking the wind out of me. I heard a groan come from the bundle as he picked it up and saw a flash of hair and realized he had a kid. A little girl, she popped he head out and started screaming that high pitched scream I heard earlier. She was dirty and had crazy hair, I could see dry blood under her nose and coming from her hair line. I saw the man start limping away with the girl in his arms. I reached for my gun and tried to aim for him. My perception was off and I knew I could hit the girl, but I would have to risk it I fired twice once at each leg and saw him fall before I passed out.

The next thing I knew I was laying in my bed back at the cabin I had a huge headache and my left eye was swollen shut, I felt the familiar presence of a bandage on my nose. I also felt something warm in my hand and opened my right eye to see what it was. It was Sherlock's hand he was sitting in a chair next to my bed looking at a map. I squeezed his hand lightly and he jumped a little with a start.

"Oh Adeline, hello," he said with a soft smile.

"Hey, how long have I been out?" I asked sitting up.

"Only about an hour or so." he replied simply "After we heard the gunshots John and I came after you."

"Oh my god! That's right where are they?"

"The girl is fine she is sleeping right now John says there are no serious injuries to he head, oh and the man was conveniently shot in both legs and only crawled a little ways from you before he passed out he is hand cuffed to a chair in the kitchen and has been coming in and out of consciousness."

"I see well that's good that she is ok and you caught the guy, but you should have never come after me what if he had been armed and I was shot!"

"Well what did you expect me to do just stay where you left me?"

"Yes! My job is to protect you, but i can't if you don't listen to me. Mycroft has been scarring me with all this 'activity' talk and

I didn't know if this guy was a threat to you and I still don't."

"Well I'm sorry that I care about you and wanted to make sure you were okay!"  he said with sarcasm dripping from every word.

I huffed a sigh realizing he only meant well and I looked into his deep green orbs. "I know I'm sorry I yelled at you, but i need you to stay safe."

He reached over and caressed my swollen eye gently, "Yes, but I need you safe as well." Then he leaned in and kissed me softly on the lips. With his help i slowly stood up and noticed something different.

"Who changed me into my Pjs?" I asked cocking an eyebrow at him. He smiled sheepishly with a light blush tinting his cheeks.

" I just thought, uh that maybe, uh I don't know, maybe you would be more comfortable... Besides I have seen you in your bikini whats really the difference?" I decided he was right but couldn't help blushing at the thought of him changing me.

I walked into the living room and saw the little girl laying asleep on the couch. John got up and walked over to me giving me a light hug.

"How is your nose does it feel ok? It is broken, but I fixed it and I think it should heal fine." He said with his doctor voice.

" Its fine," I said brushing it off, there were more important questions at hand, "So have you talked to her? Do you know her name? Have you called the cops or told Mycroft yet."

"No," was all Sherlock said. I turned and gave him a look.

"no?" I said crossing my arms.

"No she has not spoken at all and so she has not told us her name, No we did not call Mycroft." He said crossing his arms and mocked me by giving me the same face back.

"Oh my god are you serious?" I said throwing my arms up in exasperation, "Why would you  not call the cops?"

"Well we figured since you caught the man that it was all taken care of." he said with a shrug. I sighed and pulled out my phone dialing Mycroft's number.
