💦Chapter 5: The Painting of Love- Y/n and Jungkook Get Closer 💦

Yoongi is honestly relieved that his roommate isn't evil.

Namjoon looks over at him, still coughing from being choked, a questioning look on his face.

"What did you call me?"

Yoongi ignores him, instead running around the car and reaching into the open driver's side door to pop the lever to the trunk. After finding what he's looking for, Yoongi runs back over to Namjoon, ducking down to prevent himself from being noticed by the goliaths coming towards them. Jungkook is fighting hand to hand with one, using his Taekwondo skills to immobilize them. He moves to take down a giant woman who's getting too close to the car.

Yoongi notices something glinting on the goliath on the ground. An academic pin from the college is on his shirt collar lapel. He pauses before looking back at the goliath, realizing the state of the pin. It's shattered, broken in two with white wisps floating out of the pin, and as Yoongi steps closer to get a better view, the goliath begins to tremble.

"Yah!" Yoongi jumps backwards, putting up his fists just in case, but the goliath stays on the ground, shrinking back down to his normal size.

"The pin must be—JUNGKOOK LOOK FOR ACADEMIC PINS!" Yoongi yells over the car at a fighting Jungkook. He backs up towards Namjoon, placing what looks like a pen in his hand.

"Use this to help him, it'll destroy whatever you direct your energy towards. In this case, we want to destroy the academic pins your classmates are wearing."

"What?" he sputters, unamused. "Those are important, we just got them for graduation—"

"Namjoon! Do it! You are a scout and Jungkook needs your help!"

"I'm a wh—What do you—I don't underst—"

"Namjoon, take the pen, say '천재 (cheonjae)' and once you're ready, direct it at the pins! Go!"

Yoongi practically pushes Namjoon, who clutches the pen tightly in his grasp.

"Cheonjae?"

Namjoon gasps. He is surrounded by a purple light, almost like an aura has enveloped him. He could've sworn that he was levitating, but a wind tunnel had formed around him and he can't tell if the ground is there or not. After what feels like seconds or days, Namjoon can't tell, he's back on solid ground, in a white button down and black pants, with the pen in hand, which has a weird globe on top, pulsing a bright lavender color.

Namjoon sees Jungkook struggling to make contact with the pin on the dress of a goliath. He points his pen tool at it, and the pin shatters, leaving the goliath woman to fall to the ground. Jungkook and Namjoon stop to watch the white wisps disappear from the shrapnel, and Namjoon's classmate shrinks back to normal.

"Woah..." Namjoon turns around, pointing his pen at the next goliath as Jungkook runs off to tackle another.

After all of the pins are shattered, Namjoon sits on the curb next to Jungkook. The lawn around them is littered with bodies of the students in Namjoon's cohort, who are, luckily, just unconscious. Yoongi stands in front of his two friends, wringing his hands, while they stare him down.

"Look—it's like I told Jungkook, I don't know much. My memory is fragmented. I can't remember it all. But I do know that the people on Earth are in trouble. Someone is trying to take their energy and use it to take over. You're two of five scouts."

"Yeah, that teacher called me that. He said Bangtan Sonyeondan. What is going on Yoongi?"

"I think...more memories came back once I realized who you were, Namjoon. Once the rest of the scouts are found, I think I will KNOW what is going on and can answer your questions. Right now, we need to protect the humans, and stop this evil force from causing harm or taking over. I know enough to give you your tools and guide you, but I don't know who the other scouts are. This would be much easier if I did. Yoongi paused to let the men absorb the new information.
