Your vision is blurry, but things slowly come into focus. You reach your hands out, trying to feel around you and place where you are.

"She's awake! Get the doctor!" you hear a warm but frazzled voice shout. It calms your heart, which has started to race as you struggle with your breathing. You realize you can't speak.

"Shhh, Y/N, don't panic, you have a breathing tube in your throat.''

The same voice, accompanying soft hands that smooth your hair down lulls you out of your panic. Soon, the doctor comes in and removes all the tubes from your body before explaining to you that you had been in a car accident with your parents. They didn't survive.

You would move in with your grandparents, who live nearby, so you can remain at the same school. Miraculously, despite being in a coma, you have nothing physically wrong with you. You have had some trouble breathing when you first arrived at the hospital, hence the ventilator, but other than that, not a scratch on you. Everyone says it must be a miracle.

Seokjin and his parents are the first ones to visit you when you're in the hospital, and his mom was there when you had woken up; it was her frantic voice you heard sending Seokjin to get the doctor. From that moment on, the two of you became inseparable, best friends since elementary school.

But now...now you feel like you've crossed a boundary with him. Despite having met back up once leaving his bedroom and acting as if everything was the same, you know now that it wasn't. Memories flood in, and you remember with a clear mind what happened. While playing beer pong, you both looked at each other for longer, touches were a little more flirty; the more you both drank, the more heightened the tension became.

As you lay in bed, you think about Seokjin's party a couple of days ago. It's a weird feeling to think back to what had transpired that night, especially remembering how he kissed you again before asking you on a date as you walked out. Though caught off guard with this sudden change in your friendship, you had accepted. You know that part of you is afraid of how things would change between you two if you had said no, but another part of you is interested to see where it goes. Your mind is completely giddy at the thought of going out with Seokjin.

Despite these thoughts, there's a third part of you that won't stop nagging you. There's this lingering feeling that you've hurt Jungkook inexplicably. Him walking in while you and Seokjin had your tongues down each other's throat was not something you had anticipated. The feelings that you are starting to have towards Jungkook, although small, still occupy the forefront of your mind. It isn't just Seokjin that you've started to see in a different light.

By no means are you and Jungkook involved—you haven't done much more than flirt and tease each other—but you can't deny that there is a spark between you two. You used to make fun of Jungkook, never even taking the time to remember his name. However, over the past year, he's slowly grown into his face and body, as all guys in their twenties do. But there was something more, something you can't quite put your finger on—was it an attraction? A pull in his direction? The way he smiled at you when he visited Campus Comics, a comforting warmth radiating from those doe eyes and his bunny smile?

When he came over to talk with you at the party, there was no denying you were attracted to him. Is that spark the reason you feel so guilty? Were you too hasty in accepting a date with Seokjin?

You let out a breath, kicking your legs that are still wrapped in the comforter, and give a small, aggravated scream.
