Both girls arrived at Asami's place. It didn't look like much but Asami was glad that it wasn't empty this time. As the two girls went in and made themselves comfortable, the raven-haired girl watched wherever Korra went. She was making sure the tanned girl wouldn't find out about her troubled past. This of course lead her to clean any mess and those letters from her dad before Korra came in.

Korra sat on the couch and turned to the kitchen where Asami stood. "So this is your place?" the tanned girl asked.

"Yeah it's not much but I make it work." Asami responded as she organized in the kitchen. She occasionally took glances to make sure Korra was comfortable.

The tan girl saw something out the corner of her eye; it was a letter on the floor. Korra stared at it then back at the raven-haired girl busying herself in the kitchen. She decided to pick it up, but a thought went in her head about snooping being a bad idea. She finally yelled to Asami, "Hey what's this letter on the floor?"

"Oh uhh..." Asami froze for a minute. Shit! How'd I miss one? The anxious girl quickly walked over and took the letter. This action surprised Korra, yet it intrigued her.

The raven-haired girl put the letter in a nearby drawer. "It's nothing, just a letter from someone." she tried to say reassuringly.

The tan girl had a natural curiosity that constantly got the better of her. She persisted on the questioning, "From who?"

"Well... uh... it's from my dad... but it doesn't matter though." Asami answered as best she could to not give away her troubled feelings. The tan girl was observant and caught a flash of pain in those green eyes. Korra decided not to push it, seeing as it pained the other girl.

"Why don't we watch a movie and I'll get some popcorn?" the pale girl said, trying to relieve the silence.

"Yeah sure, what're we gonna watch?" Korra asked.

"Well I'm hoping you can choose for us." Asami answered as she left to the kitchen to prepare a bowl of popcorn.

"Hmm... you got any drama or horror movies?" the tan girl asked.

"Yeah I got some, but don't tell me you're easily scared."

"Pfft. I ain't scared about horror movies, I love them!" Korra claimed bravely.

The girls got popcorn and watched the movie almost entirely. The tan girl watched it, but began to lose a little interest so she snuck glances at Asami. The raven-haired girl seemed really into the movie, it made Korra happy so see such a smile on the pale girl's face. Then it showed... the raven-haired girl's wrist revealed marks and Korra's smiled slowly drifted to a frown. She felt sadness slowly approaching from inside. Asami turned to see her friend looking down.

"Hey, is everything okay?" Asami asked. It startled the tan girl and she couldn't come with a sentence quickly.

"I-I umm... I gotta go to the bathroom. I'll be right back." Korra quickly stood and walked off. Her haste left her raven-haired friend puzzled. Asami thought it was a little weird but didn't pay much attention to it.

The tan girl reached the bathroom and exhaled. I can't do this. I just met this girl and she's hurting herself. Should I try to help? She was flustered at her decision to reach out and couldn't think straight. Then she noticed it... there was blood spots stained on the bathroom floor. This confirmed it, the cutting was a real thing that was happening. Korra decided then and there that she was gonna have to talk with Asami about this, even if they were new to each other. She just couldn't stand by while someone continued to hurt themselves.

When Korra walked back to the couch, the movie was paused and her friend was waiting on her. Asami smiled and said, "I paused the movie, I didn't want you to miss anything." Korra tried to keep a comforting smile for the girl but it failed as she looked down. Asami caught on and felt the silence of the room.

She spoke out to see if something was wrong, "Korra... is something wrong?" She began to worry if this hangout turned to be a bad decision. Her face showed deep concern, but remained silent to hear from Korra.

The tan girl looked to Asami and returned a face of worry. She cooed, "Is everything alright?"

"Yeah, everything is going well. Wha-"

"No... I mean are you alright? Is something going on that's hurting you?" Korra cut her off right there.

Asami was puzzled for minute then she followed Korra's gaze all the way to her scarred wrist. She immediately pulled her sleeve down and hid her wrist between her legs with the other hand on top. The raven-haired girl bit her bottom lip, afraid of the truth being exposed in front of her by another person. Tears slowly formed at the edges of her eyes, but she fought off the tears from falling.

"S-Sorry... you weren't supposed to see that." Asami managed to get words out before choking up.

Korra saw the raven-haired girl holding her emotions down, she was gonna explode. She rushed over to her and hugged her, trying to comfort the girl from crying. When Asami felt someone's embrace for the first time in a long while, she broke out in tears and sobbed. She leaned into the tan girl who continued to comfort her throughout the break down.

"Hey... it's gonna be okay. It'll be alright." Korra said as she rubbed the back of the sobbing girl. She felt like this person she's hugging was going through a lot, and it seems like she broke right here and now. After awhile, Asami softened into the embrace and cried on the tanned girl's blue clothes; her tears stained and made the blue darker. She felt exhausted from today and the emotional ride she just went through. Her eyes slowly started to close and dreamland was nearby; she tried to fight sleep off as much as she could but her attempt failed.

Asami slowly drifted off and the crying calmed down; Korra only heard the slow breathing of the girl. She smiled at the sleeping girl and picked her up on her arms, there she walked to the bedroom and laid the pale girl onto the bed. She tucked Asami in and couldn't help but watch her sleep peacefully, it looked like she needed a good night's rest in long while. Korra leaned over the pale beauty and kissed her on the forehead like a protective mother.

"Don't worry, I'm here for you." with that, Korra left the room quietly. She made her way to the couch and laid down to get some rest as well. With a yawn, the tan girl slowly gave in to the weariness and slept the night away.
