Asami woke up that morning confused; she tried recollecting what happened last night. Her thoughts were interrupted by the smell of... bacon? Then it hit her, Korra was with her last night and the truth was exposed. Maybe not all of it, but it was enough to tell the tan girl that she was in pain. The pale girl flung backwards into her pillows and sighed in frustration, her thoughts: What am I gonna do?!? She knows about my... Asami pulled up her arm and starred at her scarred wrist.

The door to her bedroom opened and Asami shot her hand under the covers as quickly as possible. Korra let herself in; she smiled at the pale girl.

"Hey breakfast is ready sleepyhead." the tan girl happily said.

The pale girl looked at Korra, the tan girl appeared to be wearing her apron. It looked cute on her Asami thought. Wait a minute. She's here! That means I didn't take her home!

"Oh no... I was suppose to take you home last night!" Asami's thoughts raced everywhere as her heart pounded.

"Calm down," Korra walked over and reassured her. "I didn't need to be anywhere and it's okay so don't worry yourself. Cmon, we can talk over breakfast."

The pale girl agreed and went to the kitchen and sat down. A plate of steaming eggs and bacon laid out in front of her; her stomach growled something fierce at the smell of food. She looked across and already saw the tan girl eating up her fill. Asami started on her plate and the food was just as great as it smelled.

"So... you feeling better?" Korra started up. The pale girl sat there momentarily and thought about it. Should I tell her? Maybe she'll judge me, and she already saw the marks last night. Asami was quiet but decided to answer.

"Yeah... just things have been tough on me." she murmured.

Korra reached across and held her hands gently. "Look I'm here for you. If you wanna say anything, anything at all, I'm here to listen." she said assuringly.

Asami thought for a minute; did she really want to tell her everything or lie? The pale girl finally got some words out. "Well... I've just been pretty lonely. I haven't had a friend or really anyone in a long while." she said; she looked defeated.

Korra felt sad seeing Asami so hurt. It almost caused the tan girl to start to tear up, but she fought the urge to cry for Asami. She got up and walked behind the pale girl, who tensed up at the movement. She hugged the tensed pale girl and held her tightly, the woman slowly eased into the hug. Asami felt safe in her arms; she just couldn't explain why this woman was so... comforting.

Korra let go of the pale girl and pulled a seat next to her. She reached and pulled Asami's hands together with hers covering on top. "Don't worry, I'm your friend and I'm here for you." she said as she gave a comforting smile. The pale girl couldn't help but smile back, that smile made Korra's heart flutter. Asami was just so pretty and the tan girl could feel her face lighten up with red.

Asami watched as her tan friend was spaced out and staring for a second. She watched those blue sapphires even when they locked with hers. Both girls sat there, just staring into each other's eyes for a moment. Korra's view was wrapped up in the pretty green emerald eyes that almost lured her in. Just a little time passed, and both girls finally broke eye contact. Asami was the first to break the silence when she said, "So... I guess I should take you back home huh."

Korra felt a little sting of pain just by thinking of being away from Asami. She didn't want to leave her, it would be a bad thing to do, right? She had a thought for a second and her face brightened at the idea.

She started, "I got nothing to do today. So how about we spend some time together and get to know each other? It'd be fun!" Asami thought for a minute and also brightened at the idea, maybe this would be really fun. Additionally, she didn't know anything about Korra and she was intrigued to see where Korra came from.

With both girls agreeing with the new found plan, Asami got ready and took Korra to her house. As they arrived, the tan girl opened the door and welcomed Asami into her house. The house had a deep blue theme to it and the furniture had distinct wood carvings. It looked very unique and the pale girl found herself in complete awe just looking around. Korra turned and saw her friend dumbfounded. She couldn't help but smile and think that Asami's face looked cute; she had to hold in a giggle from escaping.

The pale girl caught her friend watching and looked away in embarrassment. Korra only found the action to make her seem even more adorable.

"Well, I'll go get freshened up and we'll go out to have some fun, yeah?" the tan girl said with much enthusiasm.

Asami smiled happily, "Yeah, can't wait." she replied.

Korra left and went to go get ready. The pale girl had a spur of curiosity that drove her around the house to investigate everything. She saw that the rooms had a distinct feel or culture to them. Hmm... water tribe? That would explain the blue theme. Asami came across a photo on a decorative table.

Taking a look, she saw her beautiful friend Korra smiling with what she assumed were her parents. The man looked big and had muscle to him, guess that's where Korra got her strength from. She even looked like her mother, both of them with that cute lopsided smile with beautiful, encasing, blue eyes. They looked so happy together, it brought the pale girl painful memories of her own family. Her mother... so special in her life, yet was taken from her too soon by fate. Pain started to peer through her; she stifled it as much she could down to just a frown.

"Hey you doing okay there?" The words startled Asami. She turned over to her tan friend who carried a worried look about her. She realized Korra had been standing there for a bit.

The pale girl responded, "Yeah... I'm okay. Just thinking over some things." Then tan girl didn't seem to be satisfied by the response; she looked even more concerned.

"Hey... It may not look it, but I want to help." Asami glanced at the tan girl's words with widened eyes. She continued, "Whatever you may be going through... it must not be easy. However, I'll be here to help you get through it; you don't have to talk about it if you don't feel comfortable."

Korra gave her the most heartfelt words she ever heard, topped with pretty blue eyes that comforted her. Asami felt tears stream down her face and past her smile, she looked at her friend's eyes and felt safe. Without hesitation, she hugged her tan friend tightly. Korra was taken back for a bit, but she smiled as she returned the hug lovingly.

Asami whispered, "Thank you... so much. I don't know where you came from, but I needed this." She buried her head into the tan girl's warm neck as the tears slowed down. Korra smiled and slowly circled the pale girl's back through the hug; it always helped Asami calm down and feel loved. After the hug, both girls let go to resolve themselves.

Asami gave another smile, "How about we go out and get to know you?"

"Yeah, let's do it." Korra responded happily as they headed out the door.
