Recap: "I love you, Kaci Brooks."
Now: Omg! Did he just say ily? OMU! Awwww Sam is such a sweetheart, sometimes.
I looked into his eyes. He was sincere. He loved me. And I love him, perfect.
Okay, okay play it safe. "You love me?'
"Yeah. Is that a problem?"
"Yeah."
"Why?"
"Because I'm crazy about you too." I said smiling.
He smiled. "That could be a problem."
"Honey! We're home." Mom. DAD! My dad is very...a, well...tough, when it comes to boys.
"Oh, who's this?" My mom asked.
"This is my partner Sam. Sam, my mom, Peggy, and my dad, Thomas."
"Sam." Dad.
"Mr. Brooks it's to meet you, sir." Dad and Sam shook hands. Dad smiled, seeing that Sam is a polite young man.
"How old are you, Sam."
"Twenty-three."
"You realize that your six years older than her. Isn't that a little old?"
"Well sir, I am twenty-three, but I just turned that two months ago, and your daughter is turning eighteen in four months."
"Yes, she is turning eighteen soon, but, if I catch you harming her or breakin her heart, you'll answer to me."
"Yes sir." Sam replied.
"Dad, I think I'll show Sam to his car."
"Okay sweetheart." Dad said patting my shoulder. Sometimes father dear!
As Sam and I walked to his car he took his hand in mine. He was blushing again.
"For a man who can have a smirk, you seem to have a bold blush mr." I smirked at his blush deepening. Dork!
He kissed me good-bye and hopped into his car and drove away. I smiled at the thought of him kissing me. Sigh.
I went back inside and went upstairs to my room. I changed into a comfy long t-shirt and leggings, and then crawled into bed.

I woke up at the beeping of my phone, 'a murder on third' the text said. I checked the time, six in the morning. Too early.
I showered and got dressed quickly. As I went down stairs I saw my dad on his computer typing up an email. And my mom doing ballet exercises. She was a prima ballerina in her younger years.
"Morning sweetheart. Murder?" Asked mom.
"Yeah."
"Be safe, love you."
"Love you too, mom. Bye dad." I said as I walked out the door grabbing a muffin on the way.
"Bye darling." My parents love nicknames such as sweetheart, sugar, darling, and cutie pie. I dislike the last one very much.
Driving in the city can be hard, but at six in the morning is terrible! Many people doing the walk of shame, and hustling to work. I finally got to the crime scene twenty-four minutes later.
Anthony Webson, was the officer in charge, he quickly filled me in. A thirty-six year old woman had been shot four times. Twice in the back, once in the leg, and once in the shoulder. Her purse and wallet was still her so it wasn't a mugging. More like a crime of passion.
