FOUR MONTHS AFTER MEGAN LEFT :
Travis's P.O.V. :
"Hunters are venturing into our woods Alpha." my beta, Kyle, reported to me at the pack meetings.
Heck, everyday for 3 months straight, it's the same thing... Hunters, hunters, hunters...
"Then what do you suggest?" I questioned him back and he took a deep breath before answering me.
"I suggest we merge packs with the Shadow Clan..." Kyle spoke up but I banged my fist on the table.
"We can't!" I growled, making the other pack members flinched. "Thunder Clan must never merge with Shadow Clan! Any other clan but that!!!"
"Why ever not?" Kyle, who didn't flinch all this time, challenged me.
And that's why, he's my beta. He does throw back rhetorical questions back at you...
"Don't you remember?!? Their pack invaded our land and we finally drove them off after my parents killed their Alpha and his mate!" I said in a grim voice. "I will not allow those invaders to step foot onto my soil again!!!"
"But they're facing the same problem as us. That's why I suggested Shadow Clan instead of any other clans..." Kyle stated flatly and my eyebrows raised at this report.
"Report to me about their welfare." I ordered.
"First off, hunters have been invading their forests since a month back. They've been trying all sorts of ways, setting bear traps for the hunters so these humans will walk into them. However it's not working as human authorities have ordered more patrol to make sure pranksters are not setting those traps up." Kyle told me.
"What else?" I pressed.
"Personally, I feel the Shadow Clan is in a worse condition than us. No casualties but silver bullets have been found for those wolves that have gotten shot."
That means these hunters know what they're hunting for...
"So far for our pack, no injuries right?" I asked and Kyle shook his head.
"Not that I know of Alpha."
"Fine, contact the Alpha of Shadow Clan and inform him of our decision." I commanded but Kyle answered me with an unsure tone.
"Erm last I heard the Alpha just found his mate so he's preparing for a wedding celebration. I feel we shouldn't disturb him till after his wedding." Kyle informed and I sighed as I nodded my head and left the conference room.
My thoughts went to Megan when I heard the word 'mate'...
I've been dating Whitney for a month now... My family and her think it's serious as at times, I do act like a couple with her but honestly, I don't know what to feel anymore... My heart feels empty and I'm incapable of emotions regarding love...

Megan's P.O.V. :
"You ready?" Alison asked as we both stood behind the door that would open and lead me to my first marriage.
I smiled as I held her hand tightly.
"I'm ready Alison but I'm nervous..." I admitted.
