Chapter Eight
(Confessions)
CADE
I couldn’t keep my feelings for Alex back any longer. When she said she wished I were someone else, my heart sank. It kills me to think of her with another man. I know her brother isn’t okay with this and honestly I don’t think her dad would be either. Not because he doesn’t like me. No her Dad Caleb and I get along great. He tells me all the time I remind him of himself at this age. That’s the problem. He was an ass to woman, only using them for what he needed. He would never want his little girl to be with a guy like that.
I’ll just have to do a hell of a lot to prove myself. To prove I would never hurt Alex. Caleb knows what it’s like to find the one. He found their mom Ari and she changed the way he saw women. Well Alex is my Ari. She is the only woman I have ever wanted more with and I’m tired of pretending I don’t. I’m tired of wasting my time with women who mean nothing to me.
Telling Alex how I felt just came out. I couldn’t hold it back any longer. So when I kissed her, I let all of my emotions show in the kiss. She didn’t disappoint, kissing me back with just as much passion. The kiss began to get really heated and before I knew it we were rubbing, grinding and pulling at each other’s clothes. Shit. I need to slow this down some. I don’t want her to think all I want is something sexual with her.
I pulled back from the kiss resting my forehead on hers. Looking in her eyes a smile grew on my face. She looked so beautiful. Her cheeks were flushed and she was trying to catch her breath. I kissed her forehead and then moved away from her, standing up next to my bed. “I need to check the chili princess. It should be ready. I was thinking we could eat and then watch a movie.”
She just nodded looking at me with lust filled eyes. It was hard as hell to do, but I gave her a smile and walked away to the kitchen. I need to cool off a little or I am bound to jump back in that bed with her and take this as far as she will let me.
I have to take this slow. I refuse to make her think she is anything like all the other girls I’ve been with. She needs to know how special she is to me and that I would wait until the end of time to be with her if that’s what she needs. I won’t push her like Travis did.
Walking into the kitchen I stirred and tasted the chili. Yep ready to go. I turned to grab some bowls and found Alex leaning against the island watching me. “See something you like, princess?”
She nodded with a big smile “Umhmm, the chili looks amazing.” She said laughing.
“Is that all that looks amazing?” I said in a low voice.
“Umhmm,” She said walking towards me. I thought she was going to move in for a hug or a kiss. Nope instead she grabbed the spoon from my hands and made a beeline for the pot of chili. Laughing as she did.
I made sure to reach out and smack her ass as she passed. “Hey,” She said turning back to give me a glare before going back to the chili. I watched as she delicately blew on the spoonful she had before putting it in her mouth and then slowly puling the spoon out of her mouth. “Mmmm,” she moaned as she licked the last of the chili from the spoon.
