A couple days go by & her & KeKe are talking everyday planning to meet up once more & chill. It seemed like everyday it was a new obstacle trying to meet her old friend with things constantly standing in the way. They had plans to go places, & KeKe had a friend she's going to Mccutcheon with that she wants to introduce her to. It's a boy named Ty & from the pictures KeKe sent her she knew for certain that he was fine. Another day goes by until KeKe is able to meet up, it was a Saturday & her mama had just left for work. It was perfect timing, everything would be perfect with her mama being gone for so long it would give them time to catch up & have their fun. Everything was comical with KeKe, they were like comedians together so she knew she would have fun that she hadn't had in a while. The day has come for them to meet but KeKe tells her that she has a cousin staying with her. She tells her that it's a boy & he's been getting on her nerves asking to meet some of her friends. She thought about it at first, hesitating at the thought being that she'd never met him but said fuck it. KeKe tells her he's her type, that he's light-skin with pretty ass eyes, so now she's suddenly intrigued & interested at the thought of meeting him. Maybe if she told KeKe no, she could've saved a another heartbreak, maybe she could have saved herself the years she would soon waste with this soon to be boy. She's starting to get ready, & is putting her hair up when she heard a bang on the door. She knows it's KeKe being funny so she opens up her mama's window & yells down at them. But it's not KeKe banging it's KeKe's cousin, this is when she caught her first glimpse of him. They both are looking up at her laughing, then she playful yells down to them "see girl this why I hate light skins now"! KeKe's cousin with beautiful light green eyes is smiling back at her, almost mesmerizing. She goes downstairs & opens the door letting them in. KeKe introduces him as Jahleel, he's just turnt 18, & is from Illinois. Apparently he's moved here over the past week & is looking for new friends. She blushes as Jahleel speaks to her, his voice somewhat raspy, with a hint of smoothness like butter, his voice was so calming. He was very attractive, short only maybe a couple inches taller then her, & very slim built. Her & KeKe are back talking, while she has her speaker blasting Bryson Tiller. Annoyed with our girl talk Jahleel, takes over the speaker playfully by disconnecting her phone. Defiantly she disconnects his & swiftly connects her back, this goes on them both playing & laughing till she gives up. She somehow ended up on the same couch as him, they're talking & flirting, while listening to music. The connection was almost instant, it felt like butterflies as they were playing. Her & KeKe soon orders food & they are all talking waiting on it to arrive. Jahleel is talking to her more she can tell he's trying to feel out her vibe & she lets him. He gave off this somewhat peaceful energy, the vibe felt somewhat surreal being around him. They food gets there & her & KeKe are eating reminiscing on old memories they had back in their days of going to Mccutcheon together. As they finish eating KeKe wants to go to her house then sit at the park, so she goes upstairs to find different clothes to put on. As she's in her room she hears footsteps coming up the stairs, she knew it wasn't KeKe as she can hear KeKe down the stairs now on the phone. To her surprise it's Jahleel, he comes in her room & sits on the bed. "What you doing up here?", she asks him. "Coming to see what you doing", he says back playfully & soon they are back to play fighting & talking. Time seemed to be frozen, & the conversation had to been good because they both seemed to end up laying down staring at the ceiling talking for a while. Getting to know each other exchanging questions until they weren't talking anymore. They were cuddling & kissing, but it was different then all the other times she's been in this situation with boys. It felt better, more special, he wasn't being overly sexual or aggressive, he made her feel comfortable. She was confused she had never been with a boy before who didn't have this urgency about sex. He was calm, caressing her gently but being respectful, she had never been respected by a boy before, it felt amazing. He knew she had boundaries & he respected it, she hadn't been with a boy sexually since the nightmares of Parkview & she wasn't quite sure if she was ready yet. He picks out something for her to wear outside, so she goes to the bathroom to change, he's following behind her casually. She playfully tries to close the door on him but he's halfway in the door. They both are persistently flirting, her checks are burning from smiling so much. She's never smiled so much with a boy before even with Rico, he was a different breed. He soon barges in & the door is closed behind him, the light is off & it's dark but she's not scared. He doesn't want to hurt her & she can sense that. They're just hugging, swaying back & forth to nothing but quietness, & breathing from them both. They're face to face, but they can't see each other then out of the blue they kiss. Nothing more, nothing less, he didn't try to take her clothes off, or feel up her shorts. They just stood there, he finally tells her he's about to wait on the stairs, & to her surprise when she comes out from changing he's waiting for her. She sits down & they beginning talking, she's asks him what does he want from her, what does he want to be? It was a little soon to be asking those questions but she must draw a line now, because her heart can't afford anymore casualties. He tells her he wants to be whatever it is she wants him to be, whatever she is looking for that's what he is looking for. That was the first sign, she should have knew better but she didn't. She figured maybe she should give him a chance, feel him out & if he's on games cut him off. At least that's what she thought. After a while of talking they head out & is at the playground in the apartment complex. Her & Jahleel are flirting relentlessly, & KeKe is just sitting back laughing with them. It seems almost too good to be true, he was perfect, he treated her perfect, everything was just perfect. Soon they split up from KeKe & they are back are her house talking the night away listening to music until the wee hours of the morning & he has to leave. What was supposed to be a friendship & them just meeting turned more because it became a everyday thing. Them texting all night, & meeting every time her mama left, over & over he came over they became inseparable. Together 24/7 only leaving each other's side briefly before meeting up again. By almost end of summer she was falling, & she didn't know how to take it. She was learning things for him, patience, & trust. Two things she'd never got from another boy. It seemed the feelings were mutual between both, she really liked him & vice versa. But as summer was coming to a end he starts to confuse her, he would tell her things like he wasn't ready for a relationship but would constantly do things a boyfriend would do. For 2 entire months  they are with each other so much it seemed they were one but now she's about to leave soon & he's distant? She understands he wants to be friends but why not act like friends then? This wasn't enough to make her shake him, she was sprung & she liked it. She could deal with being friends for now, he respected her, treated her with care, he was a good vibe to keep around for the time being or at least she thought. Because soon she leaves back for job corps & comes back to a completely different person, he wouldn't be the same sweetheart she'd grown to like so much. Soon he'd show her you truly can't trust anybody, no matter how special they are. She had to leave back for job corps, it was a hard, gut twisted good bye but they both promised to keep in touch. She didn't have a phone but assured him she would borrow her friend's when she get back. She seen him one last time before she packed, the next say she was on her way back.
