"And, well, that's basically it."
Old Fred looked at John while they stood on the highest level of the stone structure as the yellow submarine rested quietly just feet above them.
"Yeah, we've been thinkin' about it for a while now," George added.
"And don't worry. Jeremy has the controls covered. That submarine shouldn't have a scratch on it when we return," Ringo spoke, smiling as Jeremy nodded besides him.
"Hmm. I never expected any of you to be that interested in exploring other seas, let alone ones that we didn't come across..." Old Fred trailed off, frowning a little.
"I just wish that I could com with you..."
"Ah, don't feel bad. Lord Mayor needs someone to take care of him while he's sick, and you do know him the best. Besides, I'm sure he'll be fine when we come back."
Old Fred smiled at Paul, who was smiling as well.
"T-thanks. Just don't get lost."
"We won't," John said, chuckling.
Jeremy was the first one to get on the anchor that was hanging just inches from the ground.
"Sorry to say this so soon, Old Fred, but we won't see you till the third rising of the moon, it shall be said."
"Oh, right... three days? You all sure you want to be gone that long?"
"Oh, Old Fred. We'll be fine, okay?" John said as he turned to walk towards the anchor.
"Alright..."
John got on the anchor at about the same time the three other musicians did. Ringo held onto the rope that held the anchor as he held Jeremy with his other arm, realizing that there wasn't enough room for all five of them.
"And, tell Lord Mayor that we hope that he gets better, " George said as the anchor began to rise.
Old Fred smiled.
"I will, and I hope you all have a great time out there!" He yelled as the anchor disappeared into the submarine.
It only took a few moments for the submarine to start rising from the stone structure.
Old Fred saw the four Beatles and Jeremy wave at him from the portholes, Ringo and Jeremy waving from the same one. He waved back, smiling.
The submarine rose into the sky and began to fly away.
Old Fred stared at the shape in the sky until it was nothing more than a dot.
He only turned his head when he heard someone slowly walking up the stairs behind them.
"Y-young Fred... Oh... I'm t-to late, aren't I?"
Old Fred sighed, walking over to the older man.
"Lord Mayor, I told you to stay on the ground... I don't want you walking around when you have a cold..."
Lord Mayor's slightly paled face made Old Fred shudder. He hated seeing Lord Mayor like this.
"Ah, Young F-Fred, you k-know I'm okay..."
"Sir, you couldn't even manage to take anything more than one bite of that large apple I gave you..."
Old Fred paused as Lord Mayor coughed into his arm.
"W-well... I guess y-your right... I just wanted t-to say g-goodbye to them b-before they left..."
"Oh Lord Mayor," Old Fred sighed as he placed an arm around him, guiding him towards the steps.
"Sometimes, I think yer too hard on yourself."
"Ah, d-don't worry about it, Y-Young Fred. After all, I have d-dealt with harder t-things than this."
"Referring to the blue meanies?" Old Fred asked as they walked down the steps.
"I g-guess you could s-say that. At l-least yer blueness is t-trying to c-care for me and my p-people t-these days."
"Yeah, he sure is a delight now."
Old Mayor chuckled lightly.
"He sure is."
The pair continued to walk down the pyramid-like structure, wondering what kind of seas that their five friends would come across.
They couldn't have guessed what kind of sea that The Beatles and Jeremy would soon come across...
