the next day, LAYLANI HILLS woke up and walked down the hallway into the large houses kitchen.
she was wearing a large hoodie that went to her lower thigh and shorts.
she found david and Natalie eating breakfast at the counter. "what's the plan for today?" she asked grabbing a yogurt from the fridge.
"were gonna go to apartment in a little bit and hang out with dom and alex," David said, eating his cereal.
laylani finished eating and went to take a shower. she put on a oversized clickbait hoodie and some jean shorts underneath.
she put her hair into a low ponytail and pulled out pieces in the front. she put mascara on and went into the living room.
"ready?" david asked, she nodded as the three left to go to the old apartment. they were meeting some people there.
they arrived at the apartment and met up with zane, heath, mariah, jeff, Jason, Carly, Erin, and Jonah.
they sat down on the couch as David began explaining his idea.
"so I'm gonna have dom go an-" David began as laylanis phone started ringing. "sorry" she said as she went in the hallway to take it.
she looked at he called id and it was her manager. she answered it and he began talking.
"we have your tour dates ready. the first show is in two weeks in la, then we're going to every state in the us, a few places in europe, then do a few stops on the way back in the us," her manager, elijah said.
laylani started daydreaming in the middle of what he was saying. "why is it such short notice? normally people get notified months before.
"oh, and you'll be touring with Charlie Puth." he added. Charlie and laylani were kind of friends. they didn't talk much, just a simple hello whenever they crossed paths.
"elijah I don't know if I can do that, it's such short notice."
"I'll give you until tomorrow night to decide. bye."
she blanked. what was she gonna do? her and jeff were finally getting in a good spot.
she got herself together and walked back into the apartment. she sat down next jeff and leaned into him as he put his arm around her.
"you okay?" he asked her, she nodded.

"what is that even supposed to mean?" david yelled at jonah in his Tesla. the group was going to the park to do a experiment with nick.
"I don't fucking know okay david?" jonah yelled back as everyone laughed. laylani stared out the window, she couldn't shake the stress out of her head.
she took a deep breath as they arrived. they piled out of the Tesla.
jeff took laylanis hand and interlocked his with hers. she smiled up to him as they walked to meet nick. -
"okay so we're gonna take this bin and flip it upside down as fast as possible. it's gonna shoot up like a rocket. so be careful," nick explained.
"I'll do it," jeff said. he walked over to nick and put on goggles and a lab suit.
"ready?" nick asked as he counted down.
jeff flipped the bin upside down and it shot in the air, barely missing his head. "was that supposed to happen?" jeff asked walking over to them.
"no, that was not supposed to happen," nick laughed.
"you coulda killed me. let's do it again." jeff yelled. h engraved to second bin and went into the middle.
nick counted down and flipped the bin. it shot up into the air and exploded, making laylani plug her ears from the loud noise as everyone shouted.
"you mothafucka," jeff said, "I'm don't I'm going home." he joked.
he took the lab stuff off and walked over to laylani. "that was scary," she said. "I know" he laughed.

they arrived at davids house and laylani and jeff decided to go back to Jeff's apartment.
"nerf!" jeff shouted as he opened the door. the two sat on the ground and played with nerf for a good 10 minutes.
"jeff I really need to talk to you about something," she said, the smile on his face fading. "what?" he asked, concerned.
"when we were at the apartment today, I got a call from elijah. he said they have my tour dates ready, but there in two weeks, which sounds like a lot of time, but it isn't. I don't know what I want to do."
he stayed silent for a minute. he thought about what to say or how to react, but nothing was there.
"do you want to go?" he asked her.
"yes, but I also want to spend time with all of our friends. it's a 103 show tour. it's gonna be around 6 months that I'm away. elijah won't let me bring anyone either. 'no distractions'."
they both sat there and thought about both options.
