They got off stage and Ryan followed Brendon back to his dressing room and locked the door behind him. He sat down next to Brendon and the singer put his arm around Ryan.
Ryan moved his head from where it was resting on his boyfriend’s chest to look at him, “Bren I just want people to know, why can’t we tell them? I hate keeping this secret,” he asked Brendon longingly.
“Ry, now’s not the time, okay? Soon, I promise. We’ll make it super fucking obvious on our next album and I promise that we’ll be extra gay in our interview on Thursday. Does that sound good?” Brendon reassured the man under his arm. Ryan grinned and repositioned his head on Brendon’s familiar chest.
“As long as it’s extra gay, not just slightly more gay,” Ryan chuckled and looked up at Brendon.
“Baby steps,” He replied.
“All right, but we’ll be more than extra gay when we get back,” Ryan said with a hint of a smirk on his lips.
“Fine by me,” Brendon said with a shrug and a smile. “Am I rubbing off on you, Ross?”
“Maybe you are, or maybe I’m just a man who knows what he wants,” Ryan laughed and looked at Brendon. “You don’t get to take all of the credit.”
“You’re right, I’m wrong. My sincerest apologizes, Mr. Ross, please forgive me,” Brendon said sarcastically and gave Ryan kiss on the forehead, nose, cheek, and then the lips.
“I love you, Ry,” Brendon told his boyfriend after their lips parted.
“See, Brendon, you aren’t always wrong,” Ryan laughed.
“And I love you too,” he said before they resumed.
