I sat at the table with a omelet , bacon and potatos.

"So , what'd y'all do last night."

"Nothing , me and Dev went out to eat , and the boys stayed home."

"Well , I went to walmart to get some soap." Daijon spoke up and I looked at him then back at my plate remembering our bubble bath last night.

"Oh , okay. Where y'all ate at."

"Edge."

"Oh the steak and bar place?"

I nodded. "Yes."

"How'd you like that Dev."

"Oh , it was straight I told Lex it was nothing like new york."

"Yeah , you right , I been there a couple times."

It was quiet then Nick cleared his throat.

"So , Mr. Lonnie.. You go to any games?"

"Nah , I probably got money , but im not finna blow it up."

"Thats smart." Nick bit into his omelet and nodded his head.

Daijon didn't say much , so I tapped his foot under the table , he looked at me then I looked at my dad.

"So Daijon , I'd like to have a man to man talk sometime today , if you know what I mean."

"Yes sir."

"I told y'all bout the sirs" He chuckled

"I know , but im only respecting you as my girlfriends father."

"I like that answer , thats good."

Daijon POV

"I'll see you later." I put on my shoes and Lex crawled to the edge of the bed holding out her arms , I hugged tight and she kissed me.

"Don't be gone too long." She rubbed her hands across my chest.

"I won't bae , promise."

She crawled back in the bed and I closed the door behind me , on my way to meet up with her dad , not knowing what the hell this man to man talk was gon be about , I opened the car door and he turned the radio down.

"Glad you made it."

"Uh , yeah."

"I know you wanna know what this about , just loosen up some , its nothing bad , its about Lex , and imma just show you whats up."

I rubbed my hands on my legs cause they was sweating.

"So , she tells me you deal too."

"Yes sir."

"What its like?"

"Its cool , I don't let everybody in ya know how it is.."

"Yeah , can't trust people."

We made a left down a road and kept driving straight , and I saw a couple men standing near a corner.

"Aye , look in there a get me one." I opened his glove apartment and pulled out a gun , my mouth dropped , this man had all types of shit here.

I handed it to him and he rolled the window down , I cleared my throat.

"This one of your spots."

"Yeah."

"Aye , everytging alright round here."

"Boss thats you."

"Yeah nigga who else you know drive this round at night."

The men laughed , "Yeee yea , everything cool , we just holding it down"

"Alright." He rolled the window back up and handed me the gun.

"You can put it back , just making sure."

"I don't blame you."

"So lets talk about Lex."

"Alright coo.."

"First off , you know and I know this shit dangerous , and all I ask is for you to keep her safe , I was already worried bout her anyway up there by herself , delivering what I send her and it could be anybody , come up and snatch her , but im pretty sure they want when they see you , you always been that tall?"

"Yeah , I stood above everybody when I was in 1st grade."

"God lee , you played sports?"

"Nah , I was always the laid back one."

"I feel you , um... So you hitting that."

"Would I get shot if I said yes?"

"Nah , im not gonna mess with you." He laughed ans I let out a sigh or relief.

"Then yeah , it was only once tho."

"Once? Nah man c'mon is it you or her?"

I didn't know if I should lie or tell the truth , he was a cool ass dude , like he was busting me up or some shit. "Its her , But imma respect that."

He nodded , and my phone vibrated , I pulled it out my pocket , it was from Lex , I smiled and opened it , I don't know what she was trying to do , but it said some freaky shit I wasn't gon fall for it cause as soon as I got there she would of been sleep. I sent back some emojis and said chill cause im with her pops and she better not start what she can't finish , I slid my phone back in my pocket and tried to hold a convo with her dad or whatever , and around 2 I realized where I was and we was almost home , thank god. He dapped me up and I got out the car and made my way into the house.
