I opened the door to the house and it was quiet.

"They must be gone , Devi always want some alone time."

"Wonder where they went , I wanna turn up tonight."

"Why can't you turn up with me?"

"I'd love to , but I wanna turn up with my boy , you know we been going out just about everyweek , look how about tmrrow night?"

I nodded , "Yeah whatever.."

"C'mon Lex , you know I got you."

"Yeah , I know." I continued upstairs , I wasn't mad just jelly that he choosing peanut head Nick over Queen Lex , I sat on the bed and called my mom.

"Hello?"

"Mom? Whats wrong with you?" I frowned and looked at the phone funny.

"Im doing my daily jog."

"Since when you start jogging."

"Since I been getting blessed."

"What you mean."

"I got another one of them surprise envelopes."

I laughed , "Yeah , the surprise envelope."

"So what you doing?"

"Oh , im just... Out , making my rounds like always."

"Oh , okay thats nice."

Daijon walked in the room eating something , it smelled good and I was hungry anyway , I haven't ate since this morning.

"Hey ma , lemme call you back."

"Alright Lex."

I hung up and he leaned against the dresser always leaning against something.

"Who was that."

"My mama."

"Am I gon meet her next."

I shrugged , "Its possible , what're you eating."

"Some microwave dinner , I think its Nick's."

"Im hungry now , so while you and Nick go wherever y'all go , me and Devi gon grab something to eat."

"Lemme give you your dos and don't."

"Oh foreal? I gotta hear this."

"Don't be flirting with no other niggas , do bring me something back."

"Alright thats it , cool... Lemme give you your do's and dont's.. Wait , we don't date."

He sucked his teeth , "See thats the shit I be talking bout , why you playing ma?"

"Im not paying , you grown you should know whats wrong and right if im your... bae." I hit him with what he called me earlier in front of my dad , he laughed.

"Oh , mannn chilll , It just came out."

"Tryna front in front of my dad?"

"Alright alright , im sorry , but I promise i'll give you something back for helping me with my pops."

"I wasn't helping." I smirked and went to the bathroom to slick my edges back down , he followed.

"We gon have to fix that attitude." He wrapped his arms around me , I looked in the mirror I was so short , I stopped to his chest , and wherever we went he had to duck down to get through the door , and trashy little women always eyed him down and do this little thing 'your so tall , are you a basketball player' , and he simply replied with a nah.

"I can still beat yo ass , play with it." I closed the jar and grabbed my makeup bag next.

"Why you need makeup to go eat."

"Cause we not finna go to no cheap place , we want a place that serves wine and the table has cloths on them." I twisted the tube of my red lipstick and applied it on my lips.

I came from out the bathroom and looked through my bag for something to wear , I ended up picking out harem pants. By time I was dressed Devi and Nick was back.

"Man , look at your ass."

"Whats wrong with it."

"People gon be looking , the pants make it look rounder."

I laughed , "Whatever Daijon , call me when y'all done hanging out."

I grabbed my bag. "C'mon Lex , the taxi here."

"Bye." I pecked his lips

"Call me if you need anything."

Devi and I was seated , she looked around.

"Girl , this is nice."

"It is , what Nick say bout you going out the house like that?"

"Nothing , Im a grown ass woman."

I laughed , "I think this might be our waiter."

"Hi , how are you guys doing , i'll be your waiter today , can I start you off with wine?"

"Yes , I'd like Pinot Grigio , and a glass of water." I opened my menu and begin to look.

"And for you ma'am"

"Uhh , i'd like a uhh chardonay."

"Okay , and would you like to order or do you need time."

"Some time , thank you."

"Alright , i'll be back with your drinks." She walked off.

"Girl , this ain't like hamburgers and stuff in New York."

"Yes , I know." I picked up my phone to see I got a text from Daijon saying he missed me , I replied back and sat my phone on thw table.

"Where y'all was at earlier."

"Being nosey , a couple houses down somebody was getting married , you know they was white , it was so cute , and I been trying to give him little hints."

"Dev , he'll ask when he's ready , I promise you , well I can't promise you I never known him to be a married man."

"Well , If I ever get pregnant , you better believe i'll have a ring on whenever you see me."

The waiter came back and we orderded , then after that we had a long wait.

"Y'all missed it , he met his dad."

"What you mean."

"Well...." I begin to tell her what he told me on the plane and she seemed interested or w.e..

"Damn , thats .... man thats crazy."

"What he said about it."

"I mean , idk... I left out so they could talk."

"Aww , I know he's happy , they get to spend about two weeks together."

"Sorry it took so long , but its hot and fresh."

"Thank you." She placed the plate in front of me and I tore that shit up cause I was already hungry.
