It's a Boy

Tom hesitantly nodded. He looked everywhere except for where Marco was. He tried his best to avoid those piercing brown eyes.

"Well, I was a little afraid to tell you. I mean it was a complete accident that I let that slip. It's not seen as weird or anything down here for guys to like guys, but I did hear that it's not very accepted there." He sighed, looking down at his lap and twiddling his thumbs. He felt the bed moving a bit, and he assumed Marco was getting up to leave, when he felt arms wrap tightly around him.
"Tom, I don't think it's weird at all. Accident or not, I'm glad you told me. You're my best friend, and I wanna be there for you no matter what." He thought for a second before he continued "And hey, you don't know for sure that he doesn't like you. I mean, for all we know, his relationship could be like mine and Star's, to be honest, I don't know if I even feel like that toward her anymore... Could you at least give me a hint? Pleaseeee, Tom, plleeeeaaaasee..."

Tom turned to look at Marco, who was giving him extremely adorable puppy eyes and pouting. They were so close, Marco still holding onto Tom, partly because he was just so warm. It wasn't cold, but there was just something about the feeling of Tom's body heat that soothed Marco.

"Well.. Can I just give you hints? I'll be honest if you guess right, and if you can't guess it, then meet me here again in a week, and I'll come clean about everything." Marco nodded and squeezed Tom before letting him go, but kept his arm on Tom's shoulder. It wasn't odd for them to be physically affectionate, and Marco was very clear that he liked getting hugs and cuddles from his close friends, who happened to be Star and Tom.
"What's the hint?" Marco asked, quietly, and he studied Tom's face. He could basically see the gears in his head turning. A bead of sweat fell down Tom's face, and he finally opened his mouth to speak.
"Uh, well, he..." He looked at Marco and smiled warmly before he looked away and continued. "He has the most beautiful brown eyes I've ever seen. He's an amazing friend, and I wish I could hang out with him more. He's got really soft hair, and has the brightest smile I've ever seen. When I see him... My heart melts." Tom looked over at Marco, who was smiling softly and he tackled the demon in a big hug.
"Tom, that is the sweetest thing I've ever heard. Whoever this dude is, he's missing out on a lot."

Marco got up and got comfortable under the blankets, again, but this time he patted the bed next to him, and Tom crawled under. They did this pretty often, usually when Tom was sad and Marshmallow wasn't helping much. Marco served as a very big cuddle bunny. Star never liked when they did this, but she never wanted to admit that it made her jealous. She wanted to cuddle with Marco, too, and Tom was just too much of a Marco-hog for her to stand, sometimes.

They laid there for a while, Marco falling asleep very quickly. Tom looked at the time after about an hour of just laying there and playing with Marco's hair. "Guess it's time to take you home, huh." He said to Marco, even though he knew the boy didn't hear him. He picked Marco up and made a portal to Marco's room, where he laid the boy on the bed, covered him up, and ruffled his hair. "Night Diaz." he whispered before he turned to leave, but he heard a faint noise from the boy. "Night, Tom."

Tom was deeply in love with this boy, and he didn't even know.

Marco was sitting on the bed with Tom, and they were just chatting away, being the best of bros that anyone could ever ask for. But Tom started talking about his crush, the boy he spoke so dearly about. He looked at Marco and smiled fondly.

"He has the most beautiful brown eyes I've ever seen. He's an amazing friend, and I wish I could hang out with him more. He's got really soft hair, and has the brightest smile I've ever seen. When I see him... My heart melts." He leaned closer and gently placed his hand on Marco's cheek before whispering. "And that boy that I love so, so much, Marco... Is you." He leaned in and kissed Marco, he was so hesitant, like he was so scared that he'd do something wrong. Marco kissed him back though, and he pulled the demon closer to him.
"Tom..." he whispered.
"Yes, Marco..? Marco.... Marco.."

"Marco!" He woke up to Star yelling in his ear and he sat up.
"Wha-huh?" He replied, still very tired, and clearly not very awake at all.
"What were you dreaming about? I could've swore you said Tom's name-" His face heated up and he tried to come up with something "Whaaat, T-Tom, no way- I um, was dreaming about..." He looked around the room and tried to think of something good. "I was dreaming about... A turtle... named Tom." he smiled, very obviously fake and suspicious, but Star bought it, so it might have been somewhat decent.
"What is with you and the turtles, recently?" He shrugged.

"Hey Star, do you know if Tom is allowing guests today?" She shook her head, and replied.
"I have no clue, just show up, I guess." He nodded and got up, jumping into a portal that he cut as fast as he could.

"Tom!" He yelled, which startled the demon who looked over at him from the bed.
"Marco, jeez dude, you don't have to yell. What is it?" He groggily looked up at the human, who's face was incredibly red.
"Uh Tom, can we talk..?" He said, quietly, and the demon nodded and made room on the bed.

Marco sat down and took a deep breath before he looked into Tom's eyes and bit his lip.
"Tom... Do you like me?"
