Chapter 15: Rachel's Sick Day![1/2]

Another day in Tokyo, Japan. A little bluenette was resting in bed, but not... peacefully.

"Rrrgghh..." groaned a 14 year old girl, holding her stomach with one hand.

Rachel's eyes slowly opened—she looked weary. Her nose was red, her face too, she had dark circles under her eyes. Just what... happened?
She gave out a little cough, groaning once more. A boy was in her bed with her. He had his arms wrapped around the girl tightly, but he soon awakened from her constant moving. "Rachel..?" He said, rubbing his olive eyes. He could tell that she was in pain so he asked her if she was okay. She replied with a pained groan, turning to face him. "I'm... not alright.." he saw her red face and her circles. This confused the mercenare, what's wrong with her face? He placed his hand on her forehead and assumed that she had a fever, or possibly the flu.

"You have.. a hot head, Diamond." he said. "Did I make you upset last night?" He really tried cracking a joke, REALLY?

"This is not funny, Ira!" she really didn't feel like dealing with his... jokes. She felt like dying at the very moment. "I think.. I might be sick." Ira gasped. "You? Sick? How?!"

"I don't know but—" She was briefly interrupted by giving out a small cough. "My stomach is.. killing me! My nose feels stuffy and I feel hot!" Ira wasn't sure what to do. He wasn't a DOCTOR! He doesn't know how to treat someone with a fever or the flu! He never really got sick or was really taught about treatments for sickness because... why would that really matter(in that past time)?

"Uhm, wh-what do you need?" He asked her, sitting up quickly from the bed. She closes her eyes and says, "Tissues and cough medicine. Ask my mom, she knows where the medicine is. I really just need rest if it's a fever, plus those other things. The flu... is... more dire. Hopefully that's not what I have!" Ira nodded, slipping out of bed and running out of the room.

Ira found Rachel's mom in the living room reading. Well, you don't wake up everyday to someone reading. Well maybe you do.
He walked to her and asked her if he knew where medicine was, to which she asked him why.

"I think Rachel may have a fever!"

Her mom gasped, putting the book down and standing up. "Okay well, I'll show you!" She guides him up the stairs and into the bathroom. She shown him a medicine cabinet where she stored the medicine needed for certain occasions. He also said, "It's the cough medicine." She nodded, handing him the medicine. She also handed him a bottle of.. Ibuprofen? Hm, never seen that around here. Is that from America?

"She's gonna need tissues, I believe." She also said, walking out of the room. Little Ira followed.

Curious, he looked for a way to open the cap of cough medicine. It had instructions on the cap, he just had to follow them. He ended up, while trying to open it, bumping into a wall. "Ow!" He yelped, rubbing his noggin. Ryoko turned to him and asked, "Are you alright, sweetie?!" He nodded, chuckling sheepishly. "I'm fine! Let's not worry about me! Rachel needs help!" She smiled sweetly at him, nodding.

They got to Rachel's room, and her mom ended up hugging her and giving her kisses. She didn't really care if she got sick, she's just worried about her daughter! "You okay, Rachel dear?" Ryoko asked her, stroking her hair. Rachel nodded, giving her a weak smile. Her mom grabbed the medicine from Ira and sat on the girl's bed. "Ira, make sure you pour only 4 TSP. Right here, see?" The mint hair watched as his partner's mother poured the cough syrup into the little cup. He nodded at this.

"Make sure she takes this 4 to 12 hours, okay?"

He nodded again, but couldn't seem to quite understand. Maybe Rachel could explain to him, or help him.

After pouring the cup, she handed it to him. "I actually have work.. just.. have her drink this okay?" She said, getting up from the bed. She planted a kiss on both their foreheads and left the room. Ira stares at Rachel before climbing on the bed and climbing on top of her. She sat up and they kinda just stared at each other awkwardly. The bluenette took the cup and drank it all, sitting it on the counter. Ira furrowed his eyebrows and placed his hands on her cheeks. "I'm going to take care of my princess!" She giggled at his determination. Such a silly boy...
She ruffled his mint hair and smiled. "Please do."

Ira tucked the girl under the covers. He had the boxes of tissues on the counter as well. He climbed off of her and went to rinse the cup.
After that, he came back and pecked her on her forehead. "You sleep tight, missy. I'll be right here if you need me, okay?" She nodded, smiling warmly. She then said, "Thank you... you're a big help..!" She smiled warmly at him, and he returned that with another warm smile. "Anything for you, Diamond." He sat beside the girl and decided he would probably sleep too. The television probably wouldn't be such a good idea since that will disrupt her slumber.

"You can watch the TV. I can sleep through that." She said, closing her tired eyes. He looked at her, asking her if she's sure. She nods without looking at him. He sighs, then turns on the TV. It'll at least keep him entertained while she's here sleeping!

Ira: Aww!! Rachel is sick!

Rachel: sadly, I ammm!!!

Maya: SICK RACHEL! Quick, GET THE PILLS!

Rachel: wait pILLs!?

MacKenzie: YES PILLS!

Clara: I have them here!

Maya: hand them over—

Marmo: looks like the Diamond has got the case of the fever.

Rachel: Yep. :(

Bel: sucks to be you, I guess, HAHA!

Rachel: shush!

Ira: SHUT UP BEL!!!

Me: did you guys like this chapter?

Maya: Yep! It's a wonderful chapter! I also see it's— HOLD STILL RIKKA!

Rachel: AH— iT STINKS— did you just call me Rikka?

Maya: IT'S THE SAME THING NOW DRINK THE SYRUP!

Clara, MacKenzie, Maya: DRINK THE SYRUP!

Regina: Ooh, syrup. I love syrup!

Maya: not that kind, Regina.

Regina: Oh.

Ira: Oh look, it's the blonde.

Marmo & Bel: hey blondie.

Regina: What are your names again?—

The Mercenares: WHAAAAA!?!?

Regina: I'm just kidding! Haha!

Ira: Oh I uh, totally knew that!

Regina: WHATEVER! You suck at trying to take care of people!

Ira: SHUT UP REEEEEEE!!!!
