Nikki's POV
It's been a couple of weeks since our performance at the U.S. Festival and things are going absolutely insane. Doc had worked out the fine details with Sharon and we were set to tour with Ozzy beginning in January. In the meantime, we were in the studio working on finishing up our second album, Shout At The Devil, which was set to release in September. It was going even better with Ronnie adding in her sound to the mix. You can definitely hear Mick's style in her playing and it was awesome to see the two of them play off of each other, it was definitely a sight to behold. On top of that, we were getting to work with Roy Thomas Baker, one of the top producers out there. He was throwing a party at his place later that we were all invited too and I couldn't wait to go. His parties were absolutely legendary and I couldn't wait to see it for myself. Ronnie was going to be going as well, having asked Dottie if she would take Alannah for the night so she could go out with us, which was a definite bonus for me. Ronnie and I had talked after the whole hotel incident and had agreed to take things slowly, really get to know each other before we made it official, which was fine with me for now. Like I said before, I don't care how long it takes me, I WILL marry that woman. Man, I've never had a woman do this to me before and as exciting as it is, it was also absolutely terrifying to me. I had never had the best example of how to love someone growing up, my mom only had me around when it was convenient for her and the moment it wasn't, she'd ship me back to my grandparents in Idaho. Nona and Grandpa Tom did their best, but they would constantly move around depending on where Grandpa Tom could find work and it didn't really give me the chance to build lasting relationships with anyone unfortunately. I may have had no idea what I was doing, but I was willing to learn how to for her. I knew she was something special from the moment I saw her and I was willing to do anything to have that in my life. Looking back, I feel bad for all the crazy shit I put that beautiful angel through and thank the powers that be everyday that she has stuck by my side through it all. Ronnie may have thought the celebration after the U.S. Festival was a night to remember, little did she know how unforgettable this one would become. It was the events of this party where the true madness would begin for the two of us and lead us down the dark path that we were both stuck on for far too long and fought like hell to make it out of it not only alive but together. I remember it like it was yesterday and this definitely not my favorite story to tell but I do feel it's one worth telling. Even if it shows me at one of my lowest and stupidest points.
I woke up to a pounding headache as my alarm clock went off in my room to wake me up for the day. I rolled over to see the slender brunette I had picked up from the Roxy the night before still next to me naked. I smirk and gently swat her ass, chuckling to myself when she wakes up and yelps at the contact. I grab her dress and toss it to her, "Time to get dressed and get going sweet cheeks." She mumbles to herself as she gets out of the bed and puts her dress back, she slips her heels back on and proceeds to exit my bedroom. I hear the front door close as she leaves and sigh to myself. I feel bad that I keep bringing girls home when I'm suppose to be getting to know Ronnie but I can't help myself. I've only ever done the relationship thing once and that ended with the broad cheating on me in our bed. To say I was jaded would be an understatement understatement and it took a lot for me to trust someone enough to open myself up like that and Lita absolutely destroyed that trust without so much as a second thought. Ever since, I reverted back to my old ways of one night stands and random hookups and it had been working for me until Ronnie came into the picture. I felt myself starting to open up again and I was scared shitless of being hurt again. So, I guess in my own warped self destructive way, the random chicks were just my way of trying to hide from the feelings I wasn't ready to face quite yet. I shook my head to clear my thoughts and went to my dresser to get dressed and get this day started. We were recording with RTB today and I was excited to make more progress on the album. We had been working on re recording our previous tracks so we could add in Ronnie's parts and today would be our first day recording our first full song together and I was so ready to record our first full track with Ronnie. I had settled for a pair of lace up leather paints, Alice Cooper T-shirt, my signature combat boots and leather jacket and finally a studded leather belt. I walked out the door to the living room to see Tommy already dressed and waiting. I walked over and sat next to him on the couch, "Where's Vince?" I asked him quietly, still nursing a hangover from the night before. "He's still in the room picking out his outfit. I swear that man is worse about getting ready than any female I've ever met." I chuckle softly at his remark and look over, "That's hilarious coming from the guy who use to steal his sister's clothes and wear them." Tommy just looks over at me and smirks, "It's not my fault that her clothes looked WAY better on me!!!" We both bust out laughing at Tommy's remark as we continue to wait for Vince to finish getting ready. About ten minutes later, Vince finally emerged from his and Tommy's bedroom dressed and ready to go finally. God, Tommy was definitely right, Vince was a bigger diva than any female either one of us had ever met. But, he was still our brother and we loved him regardless of his diva antics. We walked out the door and locked it behind us and made our way down the stairs to the parking lot. We made our way to Tommy's van and climbed in, starting the old girl up and making our way to the studio. We arrive there in about 30 minutes, having run into some light traffic on the way here. We parked the van and entered the studio, making our way to our normal rehearsal room. We enter the room and see Ronnie there already waiting for us, lightly strumming on her guitar. She looks over and smiles when she sees us enter the room, you could tell she was excited to record her first full song. We make our way over to her and sit and chat while we wait for RTB to arrive so we can begin recording. About fifteen minutes later, he finally arrives and we make our way into the recording booth with our instruments in tow, ready to get this show rolling off the ground.
