It was the first official day of the school year. Sophomore year. Which was crazy to think that this is only my second year of high school as my freshman year felt like the whole four years in one.

I walked in through the school doors with a new perspective, wishing to make this the best school year yet. I was hoping that the glee club will have a shot of becoming even a little bit cooler this year... even after losing regionals last year.

Puck was leaning against the locker beside mine as I decorated my locker with new pictures from the summer. We were also trying to avoid Jacob Ben Israel and his camera crew and their list of invasive questions that they had for anyone they could find.

Puck put his hand on my arm, rubbing it lightly, "Come on, babe, what do you say we head to the locker rooms and mess around a bit before glee club?"

I sighed, looking away from my locker and over to him, trying to resist a smirk forming on my face as I grabbed onto his hand and pulled him along. "Don't get used to this, Noah!" I warned him, only to be stopped by Jacob Ben Israel and his camera crew.

"Ah, the glee clubs hottest new couple," Jacob announced, waving the microphone between our faces, "Maggie, is it true that you are settling for Puckerman because you're afraid you'll never find the one?"

"Uh, no...?" I stated, looking into the camera awkwardly, feeling Puck tense up beside me. "No, that's definitely not true."

Jacob nodded his head and moved the microphone over to Puck. "And Puck, are the rumours true that you're only dating Maggie to try and get out of your crippling depression because you're not over Ms. Fabray?"

This time it was my turn to tense up. I know that Puck isn't over Quinn, especially after he told her he loved her after she had Beth. And even though he tried to convince me he was over her, I knew it wasn't true because I saw the way he looked at her.

Puck and I were a new thing. It was fresh, to fresh to be anything serious. We started talking more over the summer and then he asked me out. I was flattered, not really getting any attention from guys, so, when one of the most popular guys in school asks you out, you have to say yes!

It was obvious to everyone that we weren't compatible, and I guess I was settling for him. But, he's my first boyfriend and the only guy that's ever shown a proper interest in me... even if it's just to get over his ex girlfriend.

Puck scoffed and rolled his eyes at Jacobs question. "No. Those rumours are bullshit. Maggie's cool. She's not hard to look at either."

"Wow, such a charmer," I mumbled, looking to the floor.
