        5:00 pm. After boys' practice

I hear my phone chime with a text message.
Tito: Hey

Me: Hey. What's up?

Tito: I just finished practice. Wanna tell me what'sgoing on now?

Me: ok... My mom has cancer. I'm living with Alice right now, and I have to take care of Carson.

Tito: oh wow. I'm so sorry. Why didn't you tell anyone about this?

Me:  Because... I don't know. I don't know who I should talk to.

Tito: but everyone's so worried about you. You haven't eaten lunch in 2 days.

Me:  I know. I promise I'll start eating lunch again. But can I please sit with you?

Tito:  Sure. Whatever you wanna talk about, I'm right here to listen. And now that I've switched classes, I'll be around more often.

Me: You switched classes? When?

Tito:  just yesterday. I switched with kode. I know he has first block with you. I have Mr. Nichol's second.

Me:  Me too. And I was sitting next to kode, so most likely you'll be sitting next to me.

Tito:  ok. Well, I gotta head to bed now. Goodnight

Me:  ok. Goodnight. I'll see you tomorrow in 1st block

Tito:  see you

                         1st Block
                -------------------------------
  No one's point of view
Heather walks into class, but doesn't see Tito anywhere. Heather goes to put in her attendance card, and suddenly let's out a little scream.

  Heathers point of view
As I went to put in my attendance card, I let out a little scream. I felt someone come up behind me, and grab my shoulders. I turned around and saw Tito. "You scared me, Tito," I giggled. "I know. Why'd you think I did it," he replied. I rolled my eyes and said, "I already put your card in." He started walking to his seat, with me following as he said, "Thanks!"

Class blew by fast, and next thing I know, I'm packing up my stuff. I didn't really talk or answered any questions. I just didn't feel like I wanted to. Tito asked me if I was ok once, and I just nodded and focused on my work. Alice came up to me while I was packing and asked, "Are you ok, Heather? I know you knew some of those answers. Why didn't you answer?" I just shrugged and said,"I don't really feel like answering much today. And I'll go ahead and apologize. Sorry if I seem like I'm ignoring you or something. I just don't feel like talking." Then, I picked up my backpack, and headed to my locker.

Sorry guys, but I kinda wanna leave it on a cliffhanger. It's not that I ran out of ideas. It's just that I feel like right now, is the perfect time for a cliffhanger, before you get more into the story.
