Dragons Among Us

The War (Part 3)

(Kiara's P.O.V.)

We all were training hard when we heard the beat of wings coming towards us. We all looked for the oncoming dragons when a thunder came from the left. I roared out in warning and we all looked toward the dragons. I felt as Elizabeth stepped up beside me rubbing her scales against me so I knew what she was thinking.

Elizabeth let out a roar that shook the skies and everything stopped. It was quiet as she approached the alpha of the new thunder. I was curious as to what was being said but knew better than to intrude on her thoughts. She let out another roar as the alpha in front of her bowed in respect. We knew then that the alpha had joined our cause to fight the council. His thunder was the first of many to join.

(Elizabeth's P.O.V.)

I heard Kiara roar in warning so I walked up to her when I saw the new thunder. I stepped up beside Kiara before roaring loudly stopping all movement. I walked up to the new alpha thinking about what I was going to talk to him about.

"Who are you? What do you want? Is there any one with you that would hurt my thunder," I asked him before he could speak. He looked quite shy as I walked before him. He was trembling in fear and I could smell it coming off of him.

"My name is Jakeb, I am the alpha of the Moon Haven thunder. We were attacked by the council many years ago for being small. I want to join you and your thunder to rid the council of their power. They sit up in the mountains and belittle anyone smaller than them. They have many allies already. My thunder has many allies as well because we are so small we need more help when attacked. They also dislike the council and have told me that if you allow us we will join you."

I think it over for a few minutes before acknowledging that we need allies to defeat the council. I knew that I would have to train these new dragons because the council will cheat to get what they want. I gently nod so only he can see before roaring as he kneels accepting me as leader. As I roar his allies come flying out of the woods that surround us. There was at least a thousand other thunders with him and I smiled. We now had more dragons than the council ever did. There was no way they would win if we trained hard and payed attention. We started training immediately so we were prepared for the upcoming months.

Time Lapse 3 Months

(Hunter's P.O.V.)

Elizabeth was a fierce warrior you could see it in the way she trained the thunders. She trained everyone the same no matter what size dragon they were. She was fiercely loyal as well, she never left the side of who she was training. If they needed extra help she helped them after the regular training session. After a month of her leadership all the dragons we had were excellent fighters. Even the worst was equal with the other dragons, of course no one could take her down yet and I doubt they will ever be able to.

After three months of training we were more than ready to take on the council. We weren't even scared that we would lose. All of our fear ran out in the first three weeks. Honestly Elizabeth scared most of us more than the council ever would or has. We know she didn't mean to she was just intimidating. I was surprised that she was so tough on us because I knew that the council was just a bunch of lazy pricks who never got out of their chairs to even fly.

We had patrols around the area we trained and right now I was on patrol with Kiara and Luis. I was flying while Kiara swam in the moat as Luis walked around the border. Suddenly I saw something that hadn't been there yesterday. I roared out to Elizabeth to let her know that I saw something and flew down to hover over it before I threw a stick at it. It snapped almost immediately and six council guard dragons came out to collect their "prize". I snapped at them before I roared out.

I heard a resounding roar that made the council guards tremble in fear. I knew that Elizabeth was on her way but couldn't see her. Next thing I see is two guards get decapitated, then another two get burned, the last two get boiled alive. I see Elizabeth appear out of nowhere, before I four more dragons appear from the trees. Elizabeth roars before taking flight towards the meadow where I hear the war starting.

(Elizabeth's P.O.V.)

The war has started so I fly back to the meadow where I land on the closest member of the council. I tear his head from his body before moving on to the next one. I kill at least twenty more before the rest of the actual council arrives. I see Richard, Henry, Ferios, Caleb, Azkan, and Gretel walk out of the woods and I roar as I leap toward them ready to kill them. I closed my mouth before opening it and roaring as loud as I could scaring them. I smelled the fear rolling of them in waves.

I blew fire into the air closely followed by water before I lunged at Richard. I was pissed at him for turning my brother against me. I wanted to make him suffer but knew that soon the other five would come out of their daze and attack. I killed him quickly before turning to the other five. They surrounded me thinking they could take me down if they worked together. I swiped my tail at the two behind me as I flared me wings impaling two more while I bit the last one in half.

The two that I knocked over sprang up and shifted quickly. I growled softly before setting one on fire while leaping at the second, pinning him to the ground. I huffed hard making him shift back to human. I put more weight into my paw and crushed his ribs, killing him. The one that was on fire was still burning so I blew water on him and put out the flames before tearing him in two with my claws.

I roared in triumph before going and killing the rest of the council with my army. We were all tired when we finally went home to our land. I was keeping everyone awake with strength that I could share with others. We finally landed in our yard shifting back and started moving towards the house. I sank into the grass as I shifted to human to tired to move. I felt arms wrap around me as Hunter picked me up off the ground and carried me to bed. He helped me into bed clothes and laid me on the bed before changing himself. He crawled into bed and wrapped his arms around me.

I turned in his arms planting a kiss on his before pinning him to the bed. I kissed down his jaw before I kissed his mark gently. I heard him groan and smirked against his skin. I gently kissed it again before nibbling on it gently. He squirmed trying to get away from me but I gripped him tighter before I bit down on the mark again, remarking him as mine. He flipped us before teasing me like I had him. Then we made love long into the night celebrating our victory over the council.
