Harry's POV

Pulling into the parking lot of the small diner that Memphis led us to, I struggle to breathe from the vice grip that her arms currently have wrapped around me.

I pry her hands away from my chest after turning off the bike and putting down the kickstand. I get off the bike and turn to face her, unclasping the helmet from under her chin, and smoothing out some of the unruly hairs that are flying all over the place.

Her green eyes are so alive and vibrant, while her dark, curly hair is framing her heart shaped face. She doesn't wear much make up, but that's because she doesn't need it. And seeing this excited look on her face, and knowing I'm the one who help put it there? I don't think she's ever looked more beautiful to me than she does in this instant.

I've never been one to take pictures, but if it wouldn't totally freak her out, I'd love to take a shot of her face and be able to look at it later. Because while this is a small victory for me, I know it's not one that will last long. The hot and cold attitude from this girl is worse than I could have imagined. After everything she shared last night, I was expecting for complete indifference from her today.

"Well..what'd you think?" I ask her when she still hasn't moved from the seat or stopped smiling.

"When can we go again? How fast can it go? Can you teach me how to drive it? That was so much fun!"

Her enthusiasm makes me chuckle, and I take satisfaction in the fact that I was able to bring her this small piece of joy after such a heavy night, and what I'm sure is about to be a heavy conversation with her brother Knox.

     "I'll make you a deal." I offer.

     "What?"

"You have to actually give me a chance, and go out on a date with me. If you do that, I'll teach you anything you want to learn about bikes."

If she's surprised by my wager, she hides it well. She seems to not need too much time to consider an answer, either, which is shocking. I feel like she's always up to bat when it comes to arguing with me.

"Deal." She shrugs, and then hops off my bike before ambling into the diner for breakfast. I follow behind her, cause she seems to know exactly where she's going, not having to scan the restaurant for Knox. He's sitting in the back booth on the left side and already has a menu in front of him. She plops down into the seat across from him and I scoot in next to her.

He eyes Memphis with a blank stare. "Have fun?" He asks with an edge to his words.

"So much! You may need to invest in one of those." Memphis is smiling and obviously ignoring his pissed off stare and tone. I pick my menu up in front of my face and pretend to be scanning it for what food I want, but really I'm just trying to hide my smirk.

She peeks over at me and smiles too, causing nothing of us to let out a bubble of laughter.

"Well I'm glad you two find this so funny." Knox says, which causes us to laugh even harder before Memphis lowers her menu and rolls her eyes at him.

"Oh lighten up, I'm here aren't I? No bruises or scrapes. I'm fine."

Knox grumbles under his breath like he wants to disagree but the waitress chooses that moment to walk up to our table.

"Haven't seen you guys in a hot minute. Want your usual?" She asks, in that same country twang that Memphis's whole family possesses with being from the south.
