Everything outside of the train, passed in a blur. The only thing remotely notable was the flashes of the lights from the light post and the few specks here and there from the buildings that were in view. Finally I was going back home after the time that I had spent away. No longer afraid of being there but I was afraid of seeing certain people. The train came to a stop and I saw the only person that knew about me coming back home. Mingi. He had not noticed me yet so I snuck up behind him wrapping my arms around his frame. He jumped at the sudden contact before touching my hands with his own.
"Y/N." He slowly turned around and grinned at me. He had changed, his hair was longer than when I last saw him and he of course had grown but he was still the same Mingi. My Mingi. The best friend anyone could have ever asked for. The person who still kept in touch with me even after everything that had happened.
"Mingi." I smiled back at him as he fully moved out of my hold and grabbed my luggage, I would've normally told him I could do it myself but I knew he would still carry it and arguing would be pointless. We walked to the car together in silence, I was not sure where to start, who or what to ask about first. . The night was cold and I could feel the crisp wind hitting my cheeks; clunging onto his arm hoping to feel some of his body heat. The two of us walked in silence, not sure where to start. There were so many questions about who and what has changed, I was also aware that Mingi likely had questions to ask. As he placed the suitcases into the trunk of the car, I got into the passenger seat, my best friend quickly followed. Waiting until he was the road before asking about how everyone was doing.
"They missed you, but everyone has been okay. Nothing much has really changed here." He responded before quickly glances over to make sure I was not trying to hide something under that question. I nodded before thinking of how to bring up the next question; although I ended up not needing to ask about it because he already knew.
"Yeosang is doing well too, he has been very focused on the music." I looked out the window at the mention of his name, even though I wanted to know how he was it still stung to actually think about him. About him without being mine.
"You're sure you are okay with me staying with you for a little right?" I had to change the subject before you got to deep into the subject. He nodded at you while smiling.
"I will leave as soon as I find a job and somewhere to stay, it should not take too long." I assured him and he started laughing, you instantly felt the familiar happiness from hearing your best friend laugh.
"There is no rush, I kinda miss having someone to share the space with since Wooyoung is partially living with his girlfriend." He answered as if it was an obvious thing to know. The car came to a slow stop as Mingi parked in the lot of the complex. It looked nice on the outside very modern. Gray exterior walls with black windows, going five floors up. Following Mingi to the elevator and walked in once it opened. He had hit the fourth floor button and we talked about random things as we went up. Once the little ding was heard, we walked out and walked down the hallway after making a slight turn, we were met with a black door. I took my bags from Mingi so he could easily open the door and followed him in once he did. It was clean yet looked as though two boys lived here. There was a T.V. with a game console under it on either side of it were two doors. One was closed and the other was open leading to Mingi's room, the other must have been Wooyoung's.
"So you will stay in my room and I am gonna stay in Wooyoung's. He already knows you are staying here but he isn't supposed to be back for a few days." I nodded along to what Mingi was saying looked in every direction he was pointed to while explaining what everything was and where to find things. Mingi offered to cook a meal for me if I was hungry but I had declined seeing as I ate on the train ride here. We both walked into his room and he grabbed what he was going to wear to bed, he told me that if there was anything I needed to just ask and walked out going to Wooyoung;s room. Moving into the bathroom I started the shower, ready to wash away the sticky feeling from my skin. The warm water felt good on my tense muscles, being able to wash off the day's grim was all I had wanted. Stepping out of the shower, I changed into my sleepware and walked out of the room. Mingi was sitting in the living room in front of the television. Instictly I walked over to him and put my legs in his lap once fully comfortable. He was playing a video game but I just wanted to be within his company.
"What would you like to do tomorrow?" The question was asked without his eyes leaving the screen.
"I was hoping to see some of the others?" The statement came out more as a question because of how unsure I was about their feelings towards me since leaving two years ago.
"That should be fine, I can text them once I finish this game." I felt a smile form on my face since him saying that must mean that they do not hate me.
"Anything you wanted to go do in particular?"
"No. Whatever you guys think would be fun, we can even stay in if you don't want to go out." Mingi shook his head because he knew I was lying I wanted to go out but would never say that to force them to stay out. I know how hard they work and how much energy they put into their work.
I could feel myself starting to doze off on the couch, I tried to force myself to stay awake but could not get myself too. I had been awake since early this morning and the current time was later than what I was used to staying up.
Turning in my sleep is what woke me up the next morning, rolling off of the bed was a perfect way to start the morning. I rubbed the spot of my body that had hit the dresser next to it, knowing a bruise would form a little on from now. I rushed to get ready, thinking about the others coming over and spending time with them, I had missed all of the boys, I wonder who would show up and who would not.
