I walked into the shop, my flannel tied off around my waist, I had a plain black T-shirt on along with my ripped jeans, I got dressed up for this, so I'm really hoping this ends well. Well better than last time at least, but we don't talk about that.

This guy named Daniel was meeting up with me here for a date, I got here at least 5 minutes early, of course, want to make sure I'm not late or anything because that could be off-putting. i hope I'll make a good impression, I've been working on my lisp, so it's not as made, I just slip up sometimes.

Soon 10 minutes pass, then 20, then 30. The server seems to be getting very impatient with me, and I think she thinks I'm lying, I hope he comes in soon. I message him asking him where he is. As I'm waiting for a reply I rest my head on the table, my eyes tearing up slightly, why does this happen to me. I'm probably being stood up again, why does this always end up happening to me, and only me? What did I do to deserve this all. Probably karma for high school, lucky for me, glad I did what I did then.

I notice this guy in a red hoodie, slide into the booth, sitting across from me. 

"You looked like you just got stood up? You okay, I can always pose for you." He says this quietly

"Yeah I did, that'd be great if you could," I say this with a nervous laugh, oh what am I getting myself into?

We chat for a little, we ordered something, ate, talked more. Found out his name was Michael, he was also stood up, but he didn't really care, it was a setup day anyways. 

"Here, in case you wanna stay in contact, message me here, and I'd definitely be open to doing this again Richy! Bye!" he says as he starts walking out after paying (which he insisted he was doing)

I smile slightly down at the phone number. I'm so glad this night ended well
