After what felt like an eternity of sleeping and waiting, Edward could smell someone outside the cellar, he didn't know who it was, assuming it was a guard, he began preparing a snarky remark about how long they had been gone. A teenage boy walked through the door, holding a flashlight, Edward had no idea what he was holding, all he knew was a beam of light was coming through his hand.
Matthews stayed completely still, observing, the teenager soon spoke to whoever else was with him "looks like there's some kind of prop in here, looks like a real person, this must have been expensive!" he said walking into the room. A girl soon appeared behind him "I really don't like this place, are you sure this was just part of some amusement park or something?" the boys smiled nodding as he confidently said "of course it is, those skeletons and now this mannequin"
Edwards looked at the teenage boy "what the hell are you talking about?" the couple jumped, the boy fell backward, shining the light up at Edward. The vampire shut his eyes, he had been in the dark for a very, very long time, the sudden light was... less than ideal. "Get that out of my face!" Edwards shouted. The boy moved the light, looking at his arms, they were stained red, his arms had been ripped and cut from the chains that bound them.
The girl looked at Matthews, calling the boy over to her, Edwards heard faint whispering, the word "help" and "dangerous" went around quite a bit. The girl soon ran into the room, the boy quickly followed, neither spoke, but they both searched for a way to either unlock or break the binds that held Edwards back. After an hour of taking rocks and other items that were scattered about, one of the old steel chains, shattered. After it wasn't too hard for Edwards to get free, Edwards had thought that he would have just been able to walk out and leave. It turned out the many years of basically no movement made it so it wasn't that easy.
