Matthews found himself lying on the cold stone floor, the two teenagers tried to lift him, in the end, they just laid him down, the boy saying "I'll get some help, you just stay here" Edwards didn't have too much of a choice, he laid there, breathing calmly, he tried to think of how long he had been in this room.
Edwards looked towards the girl who was pacing back and forth in the room, it was very cold in this dark cellar, he could tell by her slight shivering, 'not important' he thought, groaning as he rolled over onto his back, he soon spoke, "what year is it, how long have I been here?" he asked, the girl had a puzzled look, "it's 2019" she said, Edwards closed his eyes and began thinking, 'only been 3023 years'.
The boy popped his head back into the room "help is on their way, the ambulance should be here in roughly 10 to 15 minutes, we're pretty far out" Edwards didn't bother speaking, just kept his eyes and mouth shut, he had no idea what an ambulance was, but it would apparently help him. The boy had his timing right, about 12 minutes had gone by, Edwards was suddenly being carried, he was put inside a big white box, there were bags and what seemed to be tools everywhere.
Edwards was taken to the hospital, the two that had found him came with, some kind of mask had been put onto his face. When Edwards came to, the two teenagers were there, he was leaning up against a soft bed, he sat for a moment, unsure of where he was, what was happening, but he looked at the teenagers, "I never did hear, what are your names?" the two looked at each other, the boy spoke first "I'm Dylan Angel" after he said his name, the girl spoke hers "I'm Charrise Dyer" Edwards nodded coughing quietly, "I'm Edward Matthews, it's a pleasure, thank you for rescuing me from that horrid place" Edwards closed his eyes once again, he felt very, very tired.
A few hours had passed, by the time Edward had awoken, it was midnight, he had enough strength to get up. Matthews stood, looking out the window, opening the window as quietly as he could, he felt the wind come rushing through the cold midnight air felt good against his skin, he climbed through the window stepping out onto a ledge.
Edwards took a very slow, very long journey to climb down the building and leave, he didn't know where he was, or anything about the brand new time, not many people were awake at this hour. He thought he'd have to find somewhere to hide before he could feed on anything, but that's when he saw a group of people. Most of this group was drunk, there was one person who Edwards assumed must have been the one herding these drunken fools to their homes. Matthews walked towards them, the sober one of the group turned to look at Edwards, "let's hurry up, better get home before it gets too late." the man said, all the drunken men agreed, all murmuring and laughing. Edwards followed behind the group, his plan was to pick off each of them one by one.
One of the men stopped, walking towards an apartment building, he walked inside, Edwards followed, a few moments later he was back outside and the few people that had been in the main lobby of the building were now dead. Edwards was feeling much better than before, but still, he wanted more. Over the course of an hour, there was a trail of buildings with dead inside them, the only one who remained in the group was the one who had been sober
