The night howlers

Chapter 15

  Micheals pov

She looks really pretty today I thought to myself as I walked around looking for the principals office.

I need to submit this letter and leave, who the hell even forgets a principals office I ask myself as I walk around, it's already after school period which means im done with this school and the bet is over.

"Hmmm why can I smell Mira, isn't she supposed to have been gone by now" I murmur to myself as I follow the sweet scent of coconuts and vanilla.

On reaching her I met a really blood boiling view, someone was trying to force himself on my baby.

"Save mate" Ralph growls in my head and all i see is red,I pull him off her and threw him down then a gave him a really hard kick on the ribs.

I would have done more if not for the fact that Mira was still lying on the floor and didn't make any attempt to stand up.

I was already starting to get scared,being an alpha, fear is a feeling that you'd never experience much because people know better than to cross you.

But with my mate on the floor I felt scared and suddenly I had this urge to take her to my place and just keep her there forever, atleast I know she'll be safe that way.

I get to her just as her eyes close and I lift her up taking her to my car and then I mind linked my beta so he could get her car.

I took her back to my house in my pack and layed her down on my bed. Then I took the chair at the corner of the room and sat down, patiently waiting for her to wake up.

"Protect mate" Ralph says to me more silently this time, almost like a whisper in my head.

"I'll protect her with my life if I need to buddy" I answer.

After waiting for two hours I decided to call Daniel and tell him Mira was at my place but I didn't go into details on what really happened to her so he thought we were hanging out and getting to know each other.

I also called the pack doctor who check her and then said she just seemed exhausted but otherwise completely fine.

Around 7:30 she finally woke up but i didn't go to her at that moment so that I don't scare her.

"Mum, where are you my head hurts" we're the first words she uttered. Her voice was the most beautiful thing I'd ever heard in my life.

"Mu- where am I" and that was when I decided to step out from the corner I was standing.

"Hello Mira, do you remember me" I asked with a grin so big I was starting to wonder if she thought I was weird or crazy.

"Hi Michael" she said with a small voice and a cute smile I almost melted there. I'm sure if she were fair, she'd be blushing really hard by now.

"Yeah I remember you" gosh I feel like a teenage boy talking to his crush.

"Do you remember what happened at the school today?" And suddenly her eyes started to darken and she had this scared look on her face that made me decide I was going to kill that boy for touching my princess, for making her so scared.

"Please don't let him hurt me" she whispered, I was sure if I wasn't having supernatural sense of hearing I wouldn't have heard her.

I was so speechless I didn't know what to say or do.

"Hug her already, you fool" Ralph muttered and if I wasn't in such a condition I know I would have answered him back.

I wasn't sure if she was going to accept my hug or push me away but I was suddenly leaning towards her.

"I'm gonna Hug you right now princess, is that okay?" I asked but instead of replying she simply hugged me. 
I pulled her closer to me until she was sitting on my legs then I adjusted her legs so she wrapped them around my waist and then she rested her head on my chest.

I was so happy I thought I was going to burst due to too much happiness, while also trying to keep myself in check.

"Please don't get a boner, please don't get a boner" I kept on chanting in my head and we were in that position for what seemed to be like twenty minutes and then I noticed she had fallen asleep.

What happened to her that would have given her such a big scar mentally, I thought to myself.

The fear in her eyes are way much more than fear of something that just happened once. I need to get to the bottom of this, I decided before unwrapping her legs and adjusting her while laying on the bed so that she was lying on top of me.

My life had never felt more complete.  Ever.
