The night howlers

Chapter thirteen

                              Mira's POV

I don't think I've ever felt more embarrassed than I feel today. Fuck I don't even think I can stop blushing from what just happened in the club.

I was sitted on the top of the car waiting for Daniel to come out let's leave and I am not sure if he even saw me leaving in the first place.

"Mira are you gonna sit there daydreaming all day or are you ready to leave" Daniel asked startling me.

"You scared the shit out of me dan, you've got to stop sneaking around like that" I told him which he answered with a smirk but he didn't say anything else which I was actually grateful to cause I don't think I'll be able to make up any answer if he says anything about my kiss.

It was a very silent but comfortable journey back home and immediately we got home I rushed in wanting to get to my room to avoid any questions he might later want to ask me but the moment I got to the door I was dragged from the back and lifted up in the air.

I squealed and giggled because I knew it was Daniel even thou I still don't get how he could be so fast and strong. 

"Put me down this instant Daniel or else I'm gonna call mum" that actually did the trick as usual and he put me down instantly and I tried walking past me to my room but he placed his hand on shoulder keeping me still then he turned me around slowly and bent down a little so that he was almost my height, then he started "Micheal is a great guy and I want you to always trust him and never forget to come to me when things get hard or can't be handled by you alone okay?" He asked me carefully, I was so shocked I wasn't able to form words so I nodded instead then he stood up and hugged me then he kissed me lightly on my forehead before he let go then stepped back to take one good look at me one more time before he turned but I could swear I saw pain in his eyes but it was gone the moment it came.

He was way taller than me so I had to stand on the tip of legs and pulled him down a little before I was able to kiss him good night on his cheeks.

The moment I got in I first showered then changed into my light blue tank top and black shorts then I brushed my hair and I was ready to go to bed but I still couldn't sleep the kiss kept on replaying in my head like it was set on a replay button making me blush even more.

After hours I later fell asleep with a very big smile on my face.

  

                   DANIEL'S POV

I really still couldn't believe that my sister was Micheal's mate, I knew I could trust Micheal because he is my friend and he can take care of mira.

Hell he would rather die than see her in pains but I still felt sad because she was going to leave us very soon and she doesn't even know anything about the world we live in which will make things a bit hard for Micheal actually and since her parents were werewolf's but they badly abused her I don't think she will be able to handle it if all those memories came back to her and that's why my parents actually got us a house outside the park so that she doesn't get affected but I always go there to make sure things are moving as they are supposed to and the fact that Micheal's park is our neighboring pack and being the most feared alpha makes our territory impenetrable by rouges.

I was trying my best to keep my cool in front of mira cause I couldn't afford to show her that I felt sad because she would definitely want to find out what was hurting and I can't lie to her and I wouldn't want her to know the truth either so I just had to mask my emotions.  Because she seemed so happy and I'm glad she is feeling this way and they haven't even started living together yet. 

I wanted to take my bath when my phone started ringing I checked the id and found out it was Micheal I chuckled a little before answer him.

"Hey man what's up" I asked.
"I'm so excited Daniel and I just wish I could see mira right now and hold her to my heart I already miss her so bad"he replied.

Wow okay that wasn't what I actually expected to hear but all the same it made my heart swell that he was really into my sister.

"Calm down big bad alpha you have to remember your park work had being pilling up and since that useless bet...." he cut me before I could continue.

"That bet is not useless because it brought my beloved into my life"he added with so much pride I thought I was speaking to the wrong person.

"Okay blessed bet you haven't been able to concentrate on your park work and you know you can't keep leaving everything on the shoulders of our poor Kyle the guy has a life to live too you know" I finished and he seemed quiet for a while before he later agreed to my suggestion but promised to come the following day I told him that was a much better plan before hanging up and going to finally take my bath waiting for the moon goddess to also send my mate over for me soon enough.

After bathing I decided to check on mira before going to sleep her room was slightly open and her light softly illuminating the room ever since she stopped sleeping in my room claiming she was all grown up she slept with her room like this it seemed like she felt if she closed the room and switched off the light monsters were gonna take her away, at least that's what she always tells me but I was so surprised at the view I met when I got into the room.

I met both mum and dad just standing there staring her and from the way mum was heaving it seemed like she was actually crying and dad was hugging her.

I knew it was really hard for all of us but not as hard as it is for mum and the rate at which Micheal's love is growing for mira I don't think we were going to have her around much longer and mum seemed to understand this.

I silently went into the room and stood beside them before kissing mum on her head then I kissed mira on her head one last time before I go to sleep.

It actually was a habit I had since we got mira. We just seemed to click instantly and I was the first person she seemed to trust and it has always been that way ever since.

I laid down and waiting for what we were going to see when tomorrow came and with that thought I went into dreamless sleep.
