You were growing very tired from standing and getting orders and also you started to work as a dishwasher, for extra cash not for the trip but for other necessities. Tom was also getting very tired being the night manager, luckily you just needed 2 more paycheck each. As you wash the last dish at the end of your shift, you felt a pain in your lower abdomen. You ignore the pain thinking you were just tired. You tell the boss that the end of your shift is ending soon. The boss quickly tells you thank you and tells you that your husband is out front waiting for you.

Going to the dining area Tom was there with a smile on his face.

"Darling, I got really great news. Wait, are you ok? You look pale" Tom's smile goes away and gives you a worrying look. He later extends his arms for you to hold on for support

"I'm ok, just tired," you say brushing it off, "what's the news."

"Oh, right," he later pulls out a chair for you to sit and he sits down next to you. "You no longer have to work here."

"What do you mean?"

"I got my last check, it is way more than usual."

"How much more?"

"100 dollars more," he said, "you can quit your job and that way you can rest easily."

"But Tom I kind of like to do something everyday. I don't like being stuck in one room all day," you responded.

"Alright, how about we buy our car now so that way you can go to the city and just go to shops, maybe who knows you can make it to Boston, its only an hour drive."

"You're right, I've been meaning to buy parenting books."

"Do we really need to buy parenting books? I always though it was all rubbish stuff Americans do so they can parent shame everybody."

"Not all the time, most of them are actually usual information," you say with a shrug.

"Oh, alright. How much is do we have now all together including this check," he asked.

"Let's see about 3,055 dollars. That is also with mine. I think we can afford one," you say with a smile.

"We'll go on Sunday, and from now on we don't have to move from city to city we can stay for about four months. That will be enough to get out of here right?"

"Ok, so four months is 17 weeks, but you will be getting about 8 checks so you multiply that...." you stared at the ceiling and started to count "we will have 10,217 dollars."

"Again, you always amaze me," he said tucking your hair behind your ear.

Sunday came and by then you had quit your job, they understood and said if you still needed a job after the babies came they will hire you again on the spot. While you were saying your goodbye someone did tell you that his cousin works in one and it is about 18 minutes away. After getting out the cab you see a used auto dealership already you see a really great Nissan Altima the price was set on 2,700 dollars.

"Wow, so many options. Right, Rob?" you asked.

"Yeah, but don't forget to mention the budget I know how they work,"

"Again, not all are like that. I like to think that if we are friendly they will be nice in return," you say as you both to the office. When you go in you both see an employee with the sweetest face ever. She look really young but at the same time very mature, "Hi, I'm Laura Valdez. Are you both together?" she said.

"Yes, we want to buy our first car for our family." Tom said.

"Of course, we have a couple of family vans," she said "how far are you?"

"About 6 months," you say.

"You're having twins, right?" she said.

"Yes, you can tell because the belly is bigger than an average 6 months,"

"Yeah and also...do you know the genders?" she asked.

"No, not yet. Do you know? how?" you asked.

"I have this thing where I can tell the gender by looking into the mother's eyes. But just so you know it's not always accurate."

"Wow, that is so cool."

"Thank you, anywho... we were here to see cars unless you want me to tell you the gender?" she said as she was leading you out the door.

"Yes, right. Although I might want to know," you said.

"Let's focus on the car and if you both are certain I'll write it down and give it to you in an envelope," she smiled.

"Ok," you smiled too.

All of you were looking at many cars but at the end you really liked the Altima.

"So, this one is a 2010 Altima, it still has enough millage to last you about 8 years, give or take. It could actually fit the two baby car seats,"

"I do like it," you say.

"About the payment I was wondering, if we can pay all cash. We are not from here and either way we won't stay here long, we're travelers," Tom said.

"Oh, ok. Well I can help register your car here and transfer it to you...and tell you what I won't charge you extra," Laura said.

"Really? oh wow, thank you so very much," Tom said.

After going back to the office she started to work on the application, a few signing later she handed you two envelope.

"What is the small one for?" Tom asked.

"That one is the genders," she said with a smile, "and this is your keys."

Tom takes the keys and after handshakes and many thanks you both left the dealership with a brand new used car.

AUTHOR'S NOTE

I'm sorry but these last 8 months have been very hard for me. I have been dealing with so much first writers blockage then family issues and with this quarantine my depression is really hitting me hard. I am not working or going to school but my mom (bless her), she told me that I must continue writing so to thank my mom i added her as a cameo character here. And with that my mom told me she will bother me until I start writing. Also fun fact my mom actually has predicted a bunch of genders and so far she has only been wrong 3 times. Thank you so much for your patience and hope you enjoy this
