Chloé awoke to her noisy alarm, which she attempted to ignore for five minutes- only adding to her irritation.

After gathering the effort, a sleepy, not to mention annoyed, Chloé grabbed her phone and switched the alarm off. She then pulled the phone closer to her face and proceeded to read the various notifications, which, mainly consisted of messages.

Amongst the many notifications and messages only one caught her eye. She opened it to reveal her message chain with Marinette, whom she texted the most.

Marinette: Coming over brining breakfast
Marinette: See u in 10

Chloé rubbed her golden, blonde 'bed-head' and rolled over, texting a few words back to the bluenette.

Chloé: Good I'm starving

Her phone made a faint clicking noise as she turned off the illuminated screen. She buried her face into her pillow, annoyed at the small fragments of light that seeped through the curtains.

A few minutes later her bedroom door clicked open and shut quietly, the sweet smell of pastries wafted into the large room.

Chloé looked up from her pillow, smiling tiredly upon seeing it was Marinette who'd just entered.

"Hey," The blue-haired girl said lowly as she walked towards Chloé. "I brought you breakfast." She plopped down onto the bed, facing Chloé as the blonde turned towards her.

"Hand it over," The blonde replied, grappling in the dark for the food substance she was smelling. "Im starved."

"You're welcome." Marinette said sarcastically, rolling her eyes and chucking a packet of baked goods at Chloé's face. Chloé just ignored her and proceeded to tear open her delivered bag of breakfast.

Marinette stood up, walking over to the curtains and fumbling with the fabric. "Jesus Chlo, it's like a cave in here. Can I open the curtains?"

Chloé didn't reply, there was only the sound of rustling paper. When Marinette turned to her she was frowning.

"What's wrong?" She asked, walking back to the girl underneath the covers. Chloé shrugged slightly but continued frowning.

She sat once more on the bed, staring back at the blonde who was also staring, and frowning disapprovingly at her.

Marinette leant has over, kissing Chloé softly on the lips. "Better?" She asked as she watched her girlfriend's frown dissipate.

"Much better." Chloé replied smiling, stuffing her mouth with croissant. She swallowed her last mouthful just as Marinette was about to eat her first one.

"Get me some water." Chloé demanded exhaustedly, despite the fact that she hadn't moved from her bed once today.

"You're so needy." Marinette replied, her own tone exhausted. "What? Eating is 'jaw exercise' and now I'm exhausted." Chloé retorted haughtily. She rolled over so that her face was burrowing into her pillow once again.

Marinette gave in, picking up Chloé's empty 'breakfast bag' and stuffing her own into her small bag. She walked over to the door, opening it slightly which let in a little light.

"I'll be back in a minute." She said softly but Chloé was turned away from her and was too tired to reply.

Jean handed Marinette a fairly large glass of ice cold water, she thanked him and he smiled in reply.

She proceeded to make her way back to Chloé's bedroom, using the elevator to reach her destination.

It opened before her revealing the floor she'd requested for only, rather than being greeted by the silence of its sleeping inhabitants, Marinette was greeted by a raucous made up of ear splitting, aggravated shots and back and forth arguing.

And Marinette instantly knew it had to be Audrey and Andre: Chloé's parents. And Marinette also knew that her parent's constant arguments, especially at 10am in the morning, didn't par well with Chloé.

The bedroom door clicked open and closed as Marinette hurriedly made her way into the bedroom for the second time today. Even with the door closed, the arguing could still be heard clearly.

"Hey," Marinette whispered, sitting beside Chloé on the king sized bed. Chloé's head was buried in her pillow and Marinette guessed this time it was to muffle the dispute between her parents. "I've got your water."

Chloé pulled her head away from the pillow, making an effort to smile gratefully at Marinette despite her irritation at the shouts coming from outside the bedroom.

She reached for her beside table, from which she pulled out some headache medication and swallowed it with the water. Marinette watched sympathetically as her girlfriend did so. She hated seeing Chloé like this, this particular week seemed to be an especially bad week for her.

"You know what? Let's go someplace." She said, once again pushing off the bed and tugging the bedsheets towards her in an attempt to get Chloé out of bed.

"Mari, I told you," Chloé argued, effortlessly clinging onto the covers which ended up in Marinette's grasp. "I'm tired."

"I promise you'll be less tired when we're out there." And the silk covers landed on the floor without much sound.

"Come on Chloé, we can go on another date?" She pleaded, hoping that this would maybe convince the blonde to leave her room. Most of their time these days was spent in Chloé's bedroom.

"Fine." She shrugged. "But you'll have to drag me out of bed first."

"Why do you have to make things so difficult?" Marinette joked, attempting to pull Chloé away from the bed she seemed to be so attached to.

"Because you love me and you'll do absolutely anything for me." The blonde said smiling widely at the effort her girlfriend was putting in.

She eventually gave in and aided Marinette by lifting her upper body from the bed. "You're lucky I love you." She joked back, leaning down to kiss Chloé's forehead.
"Everything's going to be okay Chlo, and even if it isn't it'll be okay." The bluenette lifted her head so that she was looking Chloé sincerely in the eye. "But staying hidden in your room all day won't make anything better."

Chloé didn't disagree, she knew that Marinette was right but she hated to admit she was wrong to anyone.

Marinette held the other girl's hands in hers, pulling her to her feet. "So let's go someplace, just you and me. And we'll be okay."

Chloé's smile only widened. "I love you Marinette Dupain-Cheng."

"I love you too Chloé Bourgeois."
