Purple

-How does one go about breaking up with an intergalactic dictator?

-Honestly you can safely say that you do love Purple, but his complete disregard for the countless lives he and Red end daily is downright sickening.

-Whenever you bring up the genocide, he brushes it off like it's a joke and even goes as far as to baby talk you.

-"Aww is my little bitty human upset? Here, have a snacky wacky~"

-It's frustrating to say the least because you were actually trying to work things out, but this boy can't seem to take anything seriously.

-When you finally give up and call it quits with him, he's devastated, you both are. The two of you had been together for a while now, ever since he first met you during one of Zim's "Updates". Irkens aren't too big on the whole love thing so this was something new to him.

- Regardless, you were the only person he could stand being around other than Red.

-Purple is dramatic so he goes on and on about how he doesn't understand why you wouldn't want to be with him. When you clarify that the reason is because of the Irken Armada's deadly conquest, his despair immediately turns into spite with a side of bitterness.

- He'd think it was a stupid reason to break up with him. Who wouldn't want power???

-"Fine! I never really liked you anyways!"

- He loved you, that's why it hurt so much when you broke it off with him. The heartbreak hits him hard and by extension, Red.

-He vents his counterpart's antennae off whenever he gets the chance whether he's sobbing while stuffing his face or angrily ranting... While stuffing his face.

Red

-Unlike Purple, Red acknowledges your complaints but his reaction is no better.

- He'll try to manipulate you into thinking what he is doing is okay and will even throw some thinly veiled threats your way

-"Haha, be glad it's not your planet on the line."

-He doesn't want to hurt you, but he can feel you two drifting apart and he can't stand it.

-His patience is thin everytime you attempt to get him to listen and he'll snap at you to drop it.

-So when you finally threaten to break up with him, he's not surprised. He dreds this conversation and wishes you two could just go back to being careless. Why do you have to make things complicated?

- Similar to Purple, you are met with bitterness. He breaks up with you before you can do it though.

-"I don't know why I wasted my time with you to begin with."

- He acts like the breakup didn't phase him but Purple notices when he's quieter and eating less which is extremely worrying.

- Purple will try to convince you to ask Red to get back together so he can "Stop ruining our good vibes!". He just wants his best friend to be himself again.

-It offends you but the request somehow offends Red even more when he finds out.

-He convinces himself he doesn't want you back and his mood has nothing to do with you. The king of denial right here.

-Red throws himself into work he had lesser Irkens do for him until he forgets about the stupid human and their morals.

- The brainwashing of the Irken race goes deep and neither Red nor Purple would change their ways for their s/o, but that doesn't mean it's not hard for them.
