Chapter 4

Maria was assigned the first floor with Jillian. They had an advantage because of Jillian's flashlight. Upon entering the TV room they heard whimpers. Jillian walked over to the couch and shined her flashlight right at a very scared Rob.

"Dude, why are you here crying?" Maria asked, confused.

"I'm not crying," he responded.

"It sure looks like it," Maria said.

"Well, Oliver is being a total jerk and trying to scare me."

"Where is he?" Jillian asked.

"I don't know he just disappeared. He might have gone after Dave," Rob replied.

"Dave is here too?!" Maria said. "Why don't you tell me when your friends come over!?"

"Seriously, you expect me to tell my sister everything I do," Rob replied.

"I just texted Patricia and Flora and told them we found Rob." Jillian said.

"Good."

Just then what little lighting that was on went out.

"This sucks," Rob said.

"No really," Maria said sarcastically.

Jillian shined her flashlight around the room. "So I guess we should try to find everyone."

"They don't have a flashlight like we do." Maria said.

"Patricia texted back and said she's with Dave." Jillian said looking at her phone.

"Ha they must be having fun," Maria said joking.

"Haha yeah." Jillian chuckled.

"Wait why?" Rob questioned.

"Nevermind," Maria said.

"Patricia says they are upstairs by the bathroom." Jillian reported.

"Let's go find them," Maria suggested. "I mean we are the only ones with a flashlight."

"Okay," Jillian said. "Let's go."

"You coming Rob?" Maria asked.

"Yeah, I'm not staying here in the dark with Oliver on the loose."

After making there way upstairs they find Patricia and Dave sitting very close together right next to the bathroom.

"Hi," Patricia said.

"Hey."

"Have you guys seen anyone else?" Maria asked.

"No, it's just us here," Dave replies.

"Has Flora responded to your text yet Jillian?" Maria asked.

"No, not yet."

"Well she was assigned the basement so I would assume she would be down there," Patricia said.

"What do you mean assigned?" Rob wondered.

"Oliver texted Flora telling her he could see her. So we split up and went to find him," Jillian explained.

"Is that why you guys are holding knives?" Rob asked.

"Yeah."

"Let's go check the basement," Dave said.
