"Loren texted me."
Mikey frowned in confusion as he stared at the screen of Andy's phone.
From: Loren
'I am well and safe. I just want to stay alone for a few days. Please stop trying to contact me.'
The message clearly stated that the girl was alive but somehow, something didn't feel right about it. He handed the phone back to its owner and watched as Andy ran out of the office; probably to inform his husband.

Rye was pacing anxiously outside the office when Andy called out to him. Upon seeing his husband's relieved face, Rye felt himself relax slowly.
"Loren texted me and said that she's fine." Andy spoke gratefully.
"I know. She texted me too. Look!" Rye forced a small smile as he opened the same message which Andy had received. Suddenly, the blonde boy's face morphed into a guilty expression.
"She must be really angry with me if she went away without telling anyone."
"Hey, look at me," Rye grabbed his face gently, "She does this often; She has always been a stubborn girl. She'll be back once she feels fine. Don't worry, it's not your fault."
Andy nodded but didn't look convinced.
"Good news, Mr. Cobban!" They heard Officer Patrick's voice as he came closer to the couple, "Your sister is alive and safe."
"Thanks. It would've been convenient if she told us where she went, so we could bring her back. But I guess we'd have to wait for her to come back on her own." Rye answered calmly.
"I see." Mikey replied, eyeing the blonde boy carefully.
"We'll leave then." Rye spoke firmly as he laced Andy's hand with his own.
"Of course."
Mikey watched the couple leave; his eyes never leaving Ryan's smirking face and Andy's relieved one.

Rye parked the car in the garage and stepped out of it, walking towards his husband's side.
"Is everything alright, Andy?" He asked as he approached the smaller boy, "You have been very quiet since we left the police station."
"It's just... You were right, Rye." Andy looked at him, "The officer was trying to frame me. He was asking weird questions."
"What did he ask?"
"Just some strange questions. He was implying that I was at two different places at the same time but that's impossible!"
Rye gritted his teeth as he heard Andy's words. If he doesn't handle this situation carefully then the cops will find out sooner than he planned.
"Don't worry about him. He doesn't have anything to prove his strange theories." The brunet man assured his husband.
"Now let's go inside and inform the others."
Andy nodded with a soft smile and started to walk towards the house, with Rye following right after him. Suddenly, a dog started to bark out of nowhere, making them stop in their tracks. Andy looked at Rye worriedly who started to make his way towards the garden.
