She walked along the corridors of her new school as the students stared at her. It was now her second month in the school yet everything gradually changed as Hyunjin started to grow more distant from her. It made her confused, as to why he wasn't there to bug her.
Having enough of his silence, she approached him as he was in front of his locker. She grabbed his wrist, making him face her. "What's wrong with you?" Y/N looked into his eyes, a look of conviction and seriousness evident. Although Hyunjin just shrugged, as if nothing had happened. "What do you mean? I'm perfectly fine." He avoided her gaze, removing the hand on his wrist.
"Babe!" A voice so high-pitched filled the hallways as Y/N stepped back, in shock. The girl, doused in make-up jumped on Hyunjin. Y/N thought Hyunjin would push her off and ask her to stay away from him. But...
He didn't.
He wrapped her arms around her waist and spun her around, a smile on his face. "Hmm, Yena!" He buried his head on her shoulder as Yena giggled. Y/N immediately looked away as Yena leaned in for a kiss. For some reason, Y/N clenched her fists. She walked away, shutting her eyes closed.
And per usual, she went to her spot. To the rooftop. She was glad that no one ever came to the roof. It was her, and just her. She was alone, yet she liked it. But at the same time, she felt a feeling of longing in her heart. Bursting the door open, she let out a sigh.
She walked to the corner, sitting down on her usual space. It wasn't an easy place to spot. She had to climb up a ladder and jump off, and there you could land on a not so small, but not so large space. It was decorated with fairy lights hanging, and a small leather couch.
Wondered how it went there? The school had it there even before she found out about the spot. So, she had no idea how it was there in the first place. Even though, she enjoyed the fresh air that the air gave her.
"Hah... I thought he was different." She sadly smiled to herself, looking up the sky. "Yet he was like every other guy." She laid down on the couch, staring at the beautiful colors that spread above.
"'I'm different, I'm better'- Wow. How these lines sound so pathetic." She talked to herself, closing her eyes. "How is it so easy for you to change?" She felt myself tear up, as she buried her head into her arms. "One day you're loving me, but the next you have another."
"People suck sometimes." A voice scared the life outta her. She quickly looked up, seeing a face of a person that she sees everyday. "Sorry, I wasn't eavesdropping." He shrugged, chuckling. "How long have you been there?" Y/N disregarded his statement and asked the boy immediately.
"I dunno." He avoided her eyes. "Seungmin, get down here." Y/N ordered the boy hanging from the top of the ladder. Seungmin easily obeyed, sitting down next to her. "What's up?" Seungmin asked, relaxed but it was also obvious that he was worried.
"I- uh.."
"Well?"
"Did Hyunjin really get a girlfriend?" Y/N avoided her gaze, as she was embarrassed at the situation at hand. Seungmin smiled a little but it disappeared as he looked at her in the eye. "I... Also don't know what happened to him. He stopped talking to me and, he.. he just did that."
"I'm sorry..." He whispered, burying his face in his hands. "Why?" She barely spoke up, looking at him. "He suddenly changed.." Y/N squinted her eyes, in pure confusion. "What?" Seungmin sat up, running his hand through his soft jet black hair.
Seungmin sighed, shaking his head. "It's nothing. I better go." He suddenly stood up, alerting me. I followed suit, standing up as well. "Don't," I voiced out, as he looked at me. "Don't leave me too." He looked at me with pity before sighing once again.
"Don't worry, buttercup. I won't." She gave a slight, slight smile before hesitantly removing her hand. "Argh, you're so cute!" Y/N stood there in shock as Seungmin wrapped his arms around her, rocking back and forth.
She furrowed her eyebrows, pushing him gently. "I'm not." Seungmin laughed, ruffling her hair. "Oh, believe me, you are."
Y/N rolled her eyes as she crossed her arms, "Psh."
What they didn't know, was that a certain someone was watching them in pure jealousy.
