Rosalie's P.O.V.
"Where I came from?" I licked my chapped lips as I tried to understand his meaning. "I came from my house. Our house."
"No, Rosalie." Oliver shook his head. "That's not your home. That is Zoey's."
"Who is Zoey?" I finally asked, shaking my head in confusion. "Everyone mentions her when they talk about me."
"We'll talk about her later," Flavio promised as crossed his arms. "For now, just answer Oliver."
I gritted my teeth in frustration. "But what do you mean by "where I came from"? I don't even know what happened!"
"Tut, no lying." Oliver wagged his finger at me. "I'm the only hope you have to get back home. You need to cooperate, you hear?"
I closed my eyes as I exhaled heavily. He's right. If I want to get home, I need to be honest. Even if a part of me tells me not to trust him.
"The last thing I remember was doing a spell," I started, opening my eyes.
"A spell?" Oliver asked.
"Yeah. I was...with England. Arthur," I corrected, just in case it would cause any confusion.
"England?" Flavio looked at Oliver. I guess my correction didn't help.
"Let her continue," the latter told the Italian, keeping his gaze on me.
"We were late for an important meeting, and we had to get there quick." I hesitated, wondering how much I should say.
"A World Meeting, perhaps?" Oliver inquired, and I stared at him. How could he know about that?
"She's involved with the countries?" Flavio questioned, rubbing his temples in thought.
"She is in her world," Oliver murmured, and when he said that, more questions stirred. "What happened with the spell, Rosalie?"
"We were doing a transporting spell, and in order for me to come with him, I had to repeat exactly what he's saying." I sighed as I remembered my mistake. "Even if I had no idea what he was saying. I had to perfect each syllable, and, since I have no experience with that language, of course I messed up. After that, I felt really weird. There was a bright light and it felt like everything was spinning around me. When it stopped, I found myself still in my house. Except...it's not the same."
"You teleported to another world." Oliver stared at me as he said those words.
"What?" Flavio and I both asked in unison.
"Then where the hell is Zo?" Flavio asked.
"She must have been sent to Rosalie's world in order to take her place as Rosalie was sent here," Oliver pondered as his scratched his head. "It makes sense."
"How does that make sense!?" Flavio stared at Oliver for answers.
"It's how the universe keeps itself balanced," Oliver explained, then looked at me again. "The answer is simple; we switch them back."
Despite all the questions demanding to be asked, I could only manage to ask one. "How?"
Oliver gave me a wicked grin. "That, poppet, is a good question."Zoey's P.O.V
"Where exactly are we going?" I asked as I curiously as I cautiously looked around the place. This building is much more tidier than the one I'm used to being in, but other than that, it looks exactly the same.
"You'll see," was the Brit's blunt response and I said nothing more.
Since I know this building fairly well, I know that Arthur is leading me towards the chambers.
However, once we got there, they were definitely not chambers. They're offices.
"Interesting," I mumbled under my breath. Perhaps this building is far more different than I had believed.
"Sit where ever you'd like," Arthur told me politely, motioning towards the few chairs in this room, but I prefer to stand.
He pulled out a large book with binds that look ancient. As he opened it and flipped through the pages, I noticed that it's filled with words of other languages and spells that I can't understand.
I turned my attention to the office I'm in, studying all of the miscellaneous papers scattered along the desks and walls. It's a mess, but they're more organized than my people.
Arthur ceased to flip through the ancient book and his emerald eyes scanned the page, then widened.
"There!" He murmured, then those eyes looked up to meet mine. "Are you willing to cooperate?"
I made a simple shrug and a smirk. "Sure."
"That's not an accurate answer," Arthur sighed.
"It's not?" I asked, feigning an innocent tone and he glared.
"A simple 'yes' or 'no' would be suffice," he told me. "Why must you be so difficult?"
"Did you expect me to be easy?" I raised an eyebrow and smirked again at his irritated expression, and it only amused me. "Don't you dare underestimate me, Gorilla Brows."
His face then swelled with anger. "Shut your mouth! I'm trying to help you!"
"I never asked for help," I told him.
"You didn't need to. Now, please cooperate with me," Arthur said, almost pleading.
I crossed my arms and leaned my weight onto one foot. "And if I don't?"
His hand lifted to pinch the bridge of his nose as his eyes squeezed shut. "Bloody hell, you're so much more troubling than Rosalie."
I furrowed my eyebrows, now feeling a bit agitated myself. "Why do you all compare and mistake me to that girl? Who in the devil is she?"
Arthur shook his head, dropping his hand as he opened his eyes to meet my gaze. "Never mind that. Zoey, do you want to return to your world or not?"
"Why would I?" The words slipped from my mouth before I could stop them and his larger than average eyebrows furrowed.
"Why do you say that? Isn't there where your home is? Where your friends and family waits?"
"What home? What family?" I questioned in a hard tone. I had already began ranting, so I might as well keep going until I'm empty. "All that awaits me there is a world of chaos and violence. This place is much more peaceful. Why would I want to return?"
He looks baffled. "What? You have a guardian and a brother, right?"
I raised an eyebrow, confused. "Brother? No, I don't have a brother. I have a father."
He stared at me, and something painful flickered across his expression. "You know, don't you?"
I stared right back at him. "Know what?"Romano's P.O.V
"Cazzo," I muttered, stuffing my hands into my pockets as I walked through the halls of the main building. Most of the countries have already left for their homelands, but I refused to leave.
There's no way in hell I'm going to go back to Italy until we get Rosalie back. There's just no way.
"Roma! There you are!"
I groaned at the sound of that voice and I didn't bother to turn around to face him as he approached me. I don't really want anyone talking to me right now, but I guess roaming alone through the halls isn't enough of a hint.
There was a hand on my shoulder and Spain managed to stop me from walking, then stood in front of me.
"What do you want?" I asked, glaring up into his concerned green eyes. Why is he worried for me? Rosalie's the one we need to worry about! She's in a completely different world, surrounded by different people who could hurt her!
"Roma, we will find her," he promised me, but despite his soothing tone, it only irritated me further.
"Of course we will! You don't need to tell me that!" I growled. "Eyebrows needs to hurry the hell up!"
"England's doing the best he can, amigo." Spain said, patting my shoulder, but I shook it off. "He's pushing himself really hard. He feels really horrible about this, you know."
"He should!" I replied sharply, clenching my fists. "This is his fault!"
Spain shook his head softly. "Roma, you're not the only one who cares for Rosalie."
"I know that, dammit!" I snapped, and Spain fell silent, a look of hurt in his expression from my harshness.
I gritted my teeth and turned around to walk away, leaving Spain silent in my wake.
Soon, I was out of sight of anyone and I took a few deep breaths to calm myself down.
I ran my hand through my hair and sighed heavily, glaring down at the floor in front of me.
"Dammit."
