-Carson-

“Carson please wake the fuck up already! We have to get ready for the AP Awards!” Tay shouted ripping off my blanket. I squinted my eyes to keep them from burning due to the bright light that poured in from the windows.

“What time is it?” I asked her, getting out of my bed and stretching.

“It’s four; you’ve been asleep all day. The awards start at eight; we only have four hours to get ready.” She said and I rolled my eyes that was more than plenty of time.

“Okay, give me twenty minutes. I have to take a shower and we can start getting ready.” I said and she nodded giving me a gentle shove towards the bathroom.

I rolled my eyes and closed the bathroom door behind me. I quickly stripped and turned the shower on. I stepped in and quickly bathed and shaved my legs. I washed my hair and thoroughly conditioned it. I’d had it died only the day before. Tay and I got the same thing done to our hair, the tops were our natural brown color, and the bottom was ombre that faded from brown to blonde. I was in love with it.

Once I was finished with everything in the shower I shut it off and stepped out. I pulled on the hotel robe that was hanging on the back of the door, along with another identical one, and some fresh towels. I tied it around my body, deciding to put clothes on later; there wasn’t anyone in the hotel room with me besides Tay anyways.

“Hey Tay, you picked up the dress right?” I asked pulling my wet hair out of the robe. I looked up and saw her spreading out all of her makeup and hair appliances that we were gonna need today.

“Yeah, I got them both earlier, they’re on the bed so are the shoes.” She said grabbing my hand and forcing me to sit down in a chair. I let out an ‘oomph’ but sat still anyways.

This is what best friends are for after all. She blow dried my hair first; after she was finished with that she started running the flat iron through it, making it sit perfectly straight on my shoulders. I couldn’t remember the last time I had actually straightened my hair. It had been longer than 1 a year ago I can tell you that much.

When she was done with my hair, she moved on to makeup, clipping my bangs aside so that she could get to my face without getting the makeup in my hair. I sat back and closed my eyes as she painted my face with the multiple makeup products that we had laid out for the awards show tonight.

It took her about forty minutes to get my makeup done before she slipped my earrings for the night in my ears. After that I stood up and made Tay sit down in the chair as I started to curl her hair into bouncy spirals.

It only took me a few minutes since Tay didn’t have very long hair after all. I started in on her make up next, making sure that I got it absolutely perfect. I pinned one side of her hair back with a pin and stood back. I nodded at the results allowing her to stand up.

“We’ve only got five minutes now.” She informed me and I cursed slightly rushing over to my bag grabbing a pair of underwear before slipping them on and tossing the robe aside. I managed to get into the dress without too much of a struggle. I slid my feet into the heels right as there was a knock on the door. I looked over at Tay who was now fully dressed as well. I smiled at her before looking myself over in the mirror quickly.

The dress I had on was absolutely stunning. It was a dark navy color all the way through, and the bottom had a split that ran all the way to the top of my thigh, the edges of the fabric around the split had small rhinestones. The dress was long sleeved, and the front of it had a flap of fabric that folded down, to reveal a bustier looking lingerie. It looked as if you could see my skin through it, but the fabric perfectly covered the breast that was exposed due to the flap, and it looked incredibly sexy.
